When I watched you unscrewing the eye dropper I couldn't help myself mouthing a "bloody funk, what a brilliant hack."👏👏👏I have got several Diamine ink bottles and I will certainly try the eye dropper trick.

Ancient copper is my favorite ink ever. Its my daily driver and has been for years now.

Thank you for sharing. The brand is probably mainly European since I have not heard of them but I suspect they may have sister brands in the states as it looks similar to sketchbooks I have seen before. I see a lot of "spidering" which are the whispy lines emanating from the original written line. It's just another form of feathering or more like a contained feathering. That is my typical experience with sketchbooks. The texture tends to contain the ink to those tiny lines instead of spreading like a sponge. As a writing book, it would have failed my testing standards but that's not really what that book was designed for, isn't it?

You make some interesting points. I didn't notice the spidering until after I uploaded the video. I think, in the future, I will refrain from commenting if at all possible, since viewers will be able to judge for themselves. Thanks for your useful feedback.

Royal & Langnickel are a "budget" art supplies brand - I often see their brushes and acrylic paints in places like The Works. (Terrible brushes by the way, would not recommend them to any artist or aspiring artist). Haven't tried any of their sketchbboks - after poor experiences with the brushes I've stayed away from them. That sketchbook looks okay though - I wouldn't use it for watercolour but as a notebook or sketchbook for pencil it looks like a good deal. Diamine Ancient Copper is one of my favourite inks - I currently have it inked up in my TWSBI Eco. On good paper with a broader nib it shows lovely dark brown shading and sheen.
