I love the purple-y-blue inks when I’m not using a good standby black. I’ll have to put this on my list of inks to buy. One of my favorite blues with the purple tone is Robert Oster Summer Storm - it’s lovely.

Thank you again for another ink/paper test video. Impressive paper performance indeed. I am not so keen on purple-blue inks and I have skipped this ink although the fountain pen community generally likes it. I find the J. Herbin inks I do have (brown family) are well-behaved and easy to clean out of my pens.

As you say, it's a popular ink, but I prefer other blue inks personally. This one is too purple for me, although I suspect that it would be a deeper blue with a broader nib.

I’m not really a fan of blue ink but it does look pretty. Seems like we can see the fibers of the paper in the painted swatch!

I'm using an iPhone's telephoto lens to make these ink videos and, in 4K, it does seem to pick up small details very well. I might make a "behind the scenes" video in due course. Thanks for your feedback.
