Yes! This is a historic moment as we see the most Black women in history on government benches in the U.K.
🟪⬜️🟩⬛️16 Black women were elected across Labour, Conservative and Scottish Greens
🟪⬜️🟩⬛️14 of them on Government benches
So, we’re not taking our foot off the gas and we are quietly cautious as we’re well aware of the #toxicity and #misogynoir this is why the government must follow through on its promise to enforce the ‘Online Safety Act’
50:50 Parliament are thrilled that we have 41% Women MP’s in the House of Commons and 23 of our over one hundred 50:50 Parliament candidates have become MP’s

However we didn’t want to let this epic achievement go unnoticed, now more than ever a range of initiatives nationally including our #AmplifyingMutedVoices campaign funded by Rosa Fund is vital for potential candidates to be ready - the stats prove we need those voices from across society - #communitychampions and #disruptorsforgood need to be in the system for either the Council Chambers or Parliament…
