I needed this so bad! I'm constantly struggling with foils and I think it's because I have a crappy foil adhesive... Definitely going to get a new one now :D

I have been on the look out for a good foil adhesive 😅 I might give the essential nails one a try. But I really want to try the daily charme foil transfer gel! I think it’s cool how it’s a gel and you cure it and it is ready for the foil 😱 Thanks for the video! 😊💕
Maria Bello Moyra has a stamping foil gel (can use just as a gel polish all ready to go for foiling), and I hear fantastic thing about it. I would love a comparison video of these type of productshipment.

I dont use gel polish. To damaging for natural long nails. What can i apply after the foil? Reg top coat, shrinks away the foil, n water base top coat not any better!!
I have given up on foils.Wasted so much foil and money on various foil gels. Must have watched almost every RU-vid tutorial on foils trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong. I know I’m a little late to your tutorial but hoping you get to see my post. How long are you curing these foil adhesives please or do they air dry?

Ive never had much luck with foils and glue despite trying a few so just assumed it was a bit of a gimmick but boy was i wrong, the last foil glue was incredible! I will definitely be buying that 😍 are there any brands you recommend for foil? Or are they all essentially the same?

Do you ever just apply foils on the tacky layer of gel? Sometimes it works but it depends on the foil i think. Also do you use builder gel to cover the foils to keep it from cracking or just top coat? Great video very informative tfs!
Same thing for me. I'm in the US and I even ordered it since it was supposed to be the best. It didn't work at all. It honestly looked and felt like Elmer's glue and when it dried clear it wasn't tacky at all.
Awesome review!!! I have a ton of foils but haven't got them to work at all... maybe they will when I get good foil glue!!! 🤞🤞🤞 I have like 5 useless bottles of glue 😕
Me too. Loads of pretty foils and loads of glue that never works or dries. No matter if its a thin coat or rubbing the back with acetone OR standing on my head OR positive thinking. Same swear words fly around with chrome powders.
@@djccatterall I have a suggestion for you if you would like me to share what I have been doing recently I just figured this out and I got a full transfer no distortion nothing.. but it's a little different I'd love to share with you guys if you want a perfect transfer.. oh I also had to add that I have tried expensive to cheaper foils from Amazon and they ALL HAVE THE SAME RESULTS A PERFECT TRANSFER 💙

Thanks for this, I bought one amazon foil glue with good reviews and it was my first time. A virgin ✋ foil user so I popped my 🍒 with that foil glue and it kinda put me off a bit but after watching this video you've given me some motivation to try again with another foil glue as you know they say "your first time isn't alwaxs a good time" 😁 blessings from Scotland. 🙏 🏴 🌹 Edit: I had the same "gummy" experience., it felt like the product was moving around when I was flattening the foil out.

Yes I also wonder which is a good top coat because my main concern would then be how long they last on my nails and also how well they wear, such as do you get wearing away at the free edge? which is what has happened to my nails when I’ve worn certain glitters or unicorn powder. X x x
Sarah Fear personally I use a regular gel sealant. But double seal! Make sure your edges are free of glue though or that will cost you lifting and chipping after a week. And cap your edges really well.

No matter what I do, even with gel base coat and two uv gel tops all my foil mani peel off within a day. Is that just how it is or is there a way to fix it?

Thanks so much for the tip. I have a huge habit of capping the free edge with everything. Now I know to leave the edge free and gel (2 times to seal) 😘
I just started using nail foils and don't like to Star Glue brand at all. So glad I found this video! Going to try out the Essential Nails + the Edge adhesive.
Catriona Halliday yes but it will only partially transfer. It's a neat look but not the same. And some dispersion films are better than others. The sticky layer on dark, non pearlized colors typically works best. The dispersion layer on sealants typically doesn't work.
