Of the four, musically the single that stuck with me the most was One Foot in the Grave. I love the harmonies, the clean vocals, that catchy hook and the fact that both Morgan and Mercedes are doing vocals in it. However video-wise I keep coming back for Eyes Wide Open. I am a sucker for a good video regardless of the song. That being said I caught myself the other day ... "da na na-na na-na na ... da na-na na na-na na na.... I'm burning - with one foot in the grave!" Stuck in my head all day long. Side note: HA! 69 likes.... niccce.
That was their live performance from Sick New World last month. Good footage but agreed, kinda hard to do an actual video review like the usual ones. I’m absolutely digging the lyrical growth and just the raw feel they’ve incorporated back into their music. People complain that this isn’t “Spit 2.0”, and I’m glad- why have a band go backwards or stay the same? The new material is more mature, technical, but it definitely has that raw vibe that Spit captured & people fell in love with. Can’t wait for June!
I had no idea that Kittie was gonna release anything this year.Three songs in and I'm quite looking forward to the album. All are good tunes, but I liked the second one the best. Looks like their live show is good too. Lots of energy!!
I remember liking the first single second not so much( ishould say not as much) but this one is good just a good mid tempo tune. imho not much nu-metal in these new tracks.
Problem with live performance videos like this is that it's just footage of the whole show edited down to fit the lenght of the video. So it's not like they are actually playing this song in all the clips. So that kinda takes away from the vibe of the song a bit. I agree with Vile a different video could have made this song pop more.
Wondering if you guys would check out KEYGEN CHURCH, especially La Chiave Del Mio Amor. I know it`s not exactly in your usual wheelhouse but for me, the new album is in my top 5 of the year.
