Kittie never played Warped Tour, but they did play Ozzfest. Also loved your cover of the title song “I’ve Failed You”! Best song off Fire is “Grime” or “Wounds” imo. They released 5 singles with videos for this album which is crazy.
I'm excited. Even my older sister is excited. We had a poster on our wall of them eating a beast when we were in high school. I'm so happy that good music is making a killer comeback ❤🤩 LET'S GO!!!!
GREAT and enthusiastic reaction from a fellow Kittie fan!!! So this one is actually the 5th single released!!!!! The first 4 are: "Eyes Wide Open" (the HEAVIEST one, groove metal w/ death metal vocals), "We Are Shadows" showcases Morgan's clean vocals w/ some harsh thrown in and musically has an old-school Kitie vibe! "Vultures" is a heavy one w/ mostly harsh vocals and clean vocals on the chorus. The 4th single is probably the most commercial sounding single, definitely written to be on the radio and has an anthemic chorus which will go REALLY good when performed LIVE!!! I really really hope you react to the first 4 singles!!! I just got my Fire CD and Kittie T shirt from Sumerian Records merchandise delivered today!!! The WHOLE album is SO GOOD!!!! In addition to the 5 singles I really like "I Still Wear This Crown" and "Grime"!
I'm going to recommend another Canadian metal band, Freeze The Fall. Quinn 17 vocals/guitar, Jonah 16 drums, Aria 15 bass. Literally the same age as Kittie when they started. Dropped their debut video on February 1st, and were contacted by Canada's largest independent label 17 days later, and signed to a promotion and distribution deal. I'd highly recommend reacting to their latest single Broken Glass. Will not disappoint. And, as a filmmaker, I'm sure you'll appreciate that they shot all 5 videos for their ep in a borrowed unheated 20°f barn, in a single 10 hour day.
