Play Sacrifice, gain 15 mana, Exsanguinate for...13? Gain 39, go up to 65 while your opponents are at 30...question mark? Math might be wrong but they could be a fun turn I think? Even if you do nothing else for the game, that's still a fun, pretty janky, turn haha
@Nob0dy184 question, and just curious. where's the extra 13 come from? 13 + 13 + 13 = 39. 26 + 39 = 65. You don't lose life from Exsanguinate. I mean, if your pod has 5 players, I guess it makes 52, then 78. But in a 4 pod, I do believe it's 39 and 65. Again, I could be wrong. That's why I'm asking. Sorry, I'm a little stony, haha.
@Nob0dy184 all good. Like I said I could've been wrong. Have been blazing it down all day haha. But again, your math is correct for a 5 man pod though so you're still technically right. Do you play 5 pods? 6 is brutal (long).
If I'm at 1 life and I cast this, that means I gained 25 life. Cards that care about life gain would absolutely love this, like Sanguine Bond. I gain 25 life, you lose 25 life.
I'm not sure that "your life total becomes x" is the same as the keyword "gain life" specifically, it may not interact with these types of effects in this manner
@@coryellsworth9705 setting your life total causes you to Gain or lose the appropriate amount of life. From Resolute Archangel's rulings: For your life total to become your starting life total (normally 20), you gain or lose the appropriate amount of life. For example, if your life total is -4 when Exquisite Archangel’s ability applies, it will cause you to gain 24 life; alternatively, if your life total is 40 when it applies, it will cause you to lose 20 life. Other cards that interact with life gain or life loss will interact with this effect accordingly.
@@coryellsworth9705 This is from a card that makes everyone's life totals become the highest among all the players. "10/1/2007Abilities that trigger when a player gains life may trigger as a result of this ability."
So hailfire x=13 turn one, so either everyone has 1 life and a full grip, or 16 life but no cards in hand, pretty brutal in my opinion to start the game
T0: Reveal Providence T1: Dark Ritual into Cruel Bargin T2: Disciple of Perdition with 13 life I mean you probably lose from that point but you have an amazing story to tell.
The moment I kneecap myself and lose someone’s going to be a jerk and rub it in. Typically it doesn’t bother me but I’ve started pulling out Korvold Cedh and singling out sore winners. How dare you laugh at my meme Vashino deck lol
2 месяца назад
I will laugh at it as I'd enjoy whatever shenanigans you'd bring out
@ you’d love my two meme decks then. Usually I find more fun in just being chaotic so we have a mana burn deck and the point is to kill myself as quickly as possible. The other is a deck I built with an intentional 0% win rate lmao. Zedruu group hug. Everything hurts me but gives everyone else bonuses
Play spell. Play white and green. Cast that green spell that copies all your target spells and abilities, and targes every viable target...give EVERYONE 26 life.
*cracks neck* Do this jank, then cast Chrome Mox (imprinting Prov) and Lotus Petal, crack the petal for white, and cast Debt to the Deathless for 13. You just went from 26... to 104. As a bonus, everyone else will be on 14
I wonder if it would be good in Angels in Pioneer and Modern? You could pitch it to March of Otherworldly light in Pioneer and pitch it to March of Otherworldly Light and Solitude in Modern when you don’t need it anymore.
15 Black mana on turn one... Reanimate + Cabal Conditioning? Or Hypnox if there's one guy you hate in particular. A turn one Grave Betrayal would be nice, or even just a Chromatic Orrery.
I play casual constructed, so if you don't have a way to spend that 15 mana you make then you're gonna take big mana burn. Since my group and I kept the mana burn rule. Basically dead in 3-4 turns after that.
Make that the whole deck, hurting yourself and swapping the opponents life totals between yours and creatures. Life gain matches are no issue! Also, if you hurt your self efficient enough, you can kill em with an early pinger... and give them 2 cards 🎉 profane transfusion, and tree of perdition would be nice in that too...
Lol, I'm building a sissay weatherlight captain with leylines, chancellor, and gemstone caverns, and now u need to look up more open hand card effects now
You could win with that 15 mana. 5 for Sanguine Bond, 5 For Exquisite Blood, and 5 mana to play a card who will either lose you or gain you 1 life. Be free my jank players. One day you will achieve that obscure turn 1 victory
I mean you could do something weird like gemstone caverns ritual ritual ad nauseum drawing most of your deck then let the trigger resolve resetting your life?
15 black mana..... hmmmm Sanguine Bond is 5, Exquisite Blood is 5, Exsanguinate for X=3. Well, that's GG on turn 1 if you top deck one of the pieces. I know it's magical Christmass land, but it can happen
Even in 60 card, it's a waste of a card to just gain 6 life. You're likely not casting it for 7 mana in any competitive format. But it's great for casual!
@@VeggieWagon yeah. But a dead card isn't the same as a damaging to you card In fact in my mate's lifegain. Deck he has loads of creatures who gain additional abilities and effects when your life total is 25 or higher. It would work great. Although you're still not gonna deck more than two copies. I mean other than a niche deck like that you're wasting space for better cards.
"Fuuucccckkkkk im down to 1 life and I have nothing to save me, please magic gods bless me with something".... *draws card* ......oh my god, oh my god, its providence🥲
