Love how many Blanche heavy episodes are in your top 5! Blanche has always been my favorite, largely because of Rue's beautiflu performance. She's so flirty and unserious most of the time and then out of nowhere she'll have a heartbreaking dramatic scene that knocks your socks off. Many of the best dramatic scenes are Blanche centered. You have two of them here, the one with her and the psychiatrist (which is the episode that Rue won her Emmy for) and the one with her on the phone to her daughter. So much more to come, can't wait for season 3!

Love all these episodes, but the one with Mrs. Claxton eating Rose's daily Danish and lying about saving the tree is my #1. But who was in the pine box??

Blanche is my favorite. Not only do I find her the funniest of the three but I adore about her that she sleeps around but is nothing that shames her (all the contrary) and, beyond everything, she´s extremely careful with her body and knows full well what´s right and wrong. Like how she wouldn´t be with a married man. As for the show in general, I loved how these 4 women each had their own independent lives (not Dorothy and Sophia for obvious reasons), they got to live fully their lives as wives and mothers (currently as grandmothers some) and ended up finding themselves at this moment in their lives where they have each other like friends/family. ...there are a couple of upcoming specifc episodes that directly refer to that (you´ll know when you watch them and I´ll comment). The only truly flaw I find is that, while, their respectives relatives know they´re family and say so to the rest is not something that is either truly shown or believable. For instance, I´d like for instance that certain relative arrives and they ask, personally, the help of one of the girls instead of their own blood because they either find that person more comfortable with or knows they are the best to handle that situation instead of their own mom or grandma. Also, there´s something that never made sense and I don´t recall if it was ever explained. I think not. But if Dorothy and Sophia had such a loving relationship (besides their arguments) how come Dorothy placed her in a retiring home? PS I know I´m too late but I just remembered. @AlexxaReacts Great list These made me smile all over again. Some of these were Blanche heavy showing Rue’s acting range and Blanche’s deeper humanity. When I first saw these in my youth, Blanche was my least favorite character. Seeing these as a Golden Girl myself, I grew to appreciate her and Rue’s nuanced portrayal of her. Later we get more of her humanity and Rue’s wonderful performances. Keep these episodes coming!
