I so agree with you, wear what you like. I recently purchased Viva La Juicy because it smelled so good on me,I am a lot older than you. If we wear age appropriate fragrances we're told we smell "Old Lady" if we wear a youthful fragrance we're told it's" too young". So wear what agrees with your chemistry. If we live to be 100 Life is still too short !

I've never smelled BR540, and I own Cloud. It's tricky to say that Cloud got more votes than BR540 because it really is most complimented, because everyone who can afford BR540, can also afford Cloud, but not the other way around. That being said, more people know Cloud, so obviously it had that to its advantage. Anyway, I love the video. I literally took notes. LoL

Normal person cannot smell the difference tbh. Even though it’s quite different. Cloud is more coconut to me and nothing can beat BR 540.

I tested Cloud and BR540 as well as Alt Fragrance Crystal and they are so similar that if you really want BR540 just get any of the dupes. unless someone is super into perfumes that they know the exact difference, like most people won’t be able to tell the difference.

I didn’t think cloud smelled like my 540. It was way sweeter, I gave mine away lol. It didn’t stink but it def didn’t smell like 540 to me.

Imo oriana is so much better, it's a fluffy creamy marshmallow fruity scent so so yummy! Delina is nice too if you like rises! I can only smell the rose out of it, no litschi nothibg else. Straight up rose sadly.

You recommended Guess Seductive Noir and I wore it on a first date. He hugged and immediately said to me you smell so good. Went and got a drink from the bar that night and the bartender and everyone around me said how good I smell. Don't walk run and get this sent. I absolutely love you, but just wanted to mention that Versace Cristal Noir you describing by notes is EDP, EDT smells clean, almost out of shower to me, it has fig, black currant violet as top notes. Much love girl, you amazing videos and personality!

I blind bought Olympea, Seductive Noir, Crystal Noir, Scandal, La Nuit Tresor, Pink Sugar, Reb'l Fleur Love Always, Fancy, and Girl of Now based on recs. I like GON, La Nuit, Fancy and Pink Sugar but none of the others. I like sweet scents (Poison Girl, Vanilla 28, Black Opium). Just writing this for reference for anyone else considering these! I've learned my lesson to buy a sample first next time. ETA: Guess is OK, the drydown is sweet and creamy but the top notes (sage) are kinda spicy. No shade to anyone who enjoys these, it's all so subjective!

@@Sleepyfairies I've had my Reb'l Fleur bottle for about 3/4 years now and I hate it lol I don't smell any of the coconut, it doesn't smell like what youtubers say. To me, it smells sweet but a weird kind of sweet? I checked fragrantica and there are some people who feel the same way as me! I like sweet scents, I have Always Red by Elizabeth Arden and it's really syrupy sweet, so beautiful! You should definitely test Reb'l Fleur in store just to be sure you like the smell :)

I didn't like Crystal Noir either! I have a perfume oil dupe, it smells nice but it kinda smells like baby bathing products to me. So I tested it in store to see what it smells like and it didn't live up to the hype that everyone talks about on here 🤦🏽‍♀ my perfume oil smells exactly like the real thing and it was £8 for 15ml lol definitely need to test these perfumes before committing to a bottle of it 🤦🏽‍♀

I think it also depends on your body chemistry. A top-selling perfume may not suit your body chemistry, but a cheaper one may suit you beautifully and attract several compliments. I have received compliments (multiple times) from coworkers and even strangers and men for perfumes that are no longer featured in such videos: J'adore, Beautiful, Red Door, Beyond Paradise, Sensuous Noir.

Hi, Ksenja! I am obsessed with your channel! I love every new video. However, can I suggest an idea for a video, which is rarely covered on the RU-vid fragrance community? Maybe this is not related to you, but I'd love to hear someone like you talk about ways to be reasonable when buying perfumes. Ever since I got into perfumes, I've been buying like crazy and it's starting to worry me. I don't have an infinate amount of cash, so I can't afford to buy at the speed at which I am buying now. I know it's a matter of self control, but trust me.. I think I've become addicted to this whole thing and I find it very hard to stop.

I totally understand what you're saying... I miss those times that I had one specific perfume that I would wear for a big amount of time... I think I have been addicted to finding out new perfume smells that amaze me... I am searching at that one perfume that characterizes me and suits me the most. One of them used to be hypnotic poison.. big love on my early college years and pure poison elixir edp... oh my... I really loved that one. Unfortunately it got discontinued, and the classic pure poison just doesn't smell so divine. I recently bought a dupe for black opium and I am feeling i've found my new love, so I am trying not to be tempted from other perfumes i've not tried yet!! (Also I adore lolita lempicka's l'eau de minuit and d&g femme for more summer scents ) Maybe if you find some perfumes that suits your character the most try to feel confident owning just them, that's what I am trying as well!!!

Try a monthly scent subscription to help itch any "impulse buy" cravings. Other than that, the only other advice I've learned came from a recent Baldassarre Fragrance vid. They were really valuable tips and the comment section was also really insightful. Great video. You talked about a few perfumes that I own and love. I agree with what you said about BR 540 it smells so expensive and sophisticated. Personally 540 on me smells more like cotton candy (and expensive, high end cotton candy if that exists) and Cloud smells more like marshmallows on me. Great scents nevertheless.

I tried it literally like two days ago because it came as a sample with a beauty purchase. It is so bad! I was really confused because I had heard very good things about it. I was so excited to get it as a sample…and it stinks. Tried it again just so I was sure I wasn’t crazy and I had to go wash it off my wrist. I even waited a good 30 mins for it to settle and it was a no go for me.

I struggle with perfumes overall because ANY florals pick up way stronger on myself than in the body. Cloud by AG is the only perfume I’ve ever purchased that works for me and actually blends very nicely with my body chemistry. I also recently purchased 7SUMMERS by Dime and love it as well. I have used pretty much every perfume you can think of and the only perfume I have received compliments from everyone from young to old both male and female that literally get stopped constantly in the streets is none other than Escape for women by Calvin Klein 🙌 hands down the best for me till this day I keep wearing it even though I have many other fragrances

My most complimented perfumes are Givenchy Irresistible edp, nearly everybody asking me what is it and some people thought it was Flowerbomb and when I was wearing Flowerbomb nobody complimented me, strange, YSL Cinema gets quite noticed in good way, Chanel 5 - but not by everybody, Burberry London, Lolita Lempicka Le Parfum and Guerlain Mitsouko.

I’m the odd one out that can’t deal with the specific note that makes BR540 what it is. I’m assuming it’s the saffron. It smells like a dentists office to me (very rubber glove-esque.) I bought cloud without knowing it was a supposed dupe to that and immediately cringed and realized my mistake. THEN I bought Burberry Her- and it happened again! They ALL have that same note.

@@veronicadiaz4579 some people get that rubber smell and some don’t. It’s a property that saffron is known to have in perfumes. I’ve read other places where people talk about this weird saffron “rubber” thing. I think there is either saffron in Burberry her and cloud and it’s not listed OR the perfumer is mimicking the smell of saffron with something else

That’s funny about BR540 and Cloud. I was wearing BR540 earlier this week and this girl says “Oh my gosh you smell so good. Is that Ariana Grande Cloud? My roommate used to wear that all the time”😂. Was surprised Dior Hypnotic Poison didn’t make the list. I wear that one when I want compliments lol.

Hi Ksenja, I wore Miami Glow when it first came out and loved it's unusual warm scent. I recently purchased Viva La Juicy and it smells great with my chemistry, I am at an age that I don't care what other people think about my choices. I am always curious about the "Hype" of a new fragrance,but most times disappointed...ie. Baccarat Rouge..smells like marshmallows, and band aides to me. I know people love it, to each his own. I smell versions of it everywhere ! I tend to like lesser known perfumes that I won't smell on everyone,although, I know that Juicy Couture fragrances are very common..oh well, I still love it. Chanel # 5 has sentimental memories for me so I will never be without it, Chanel Chance Eau Tendre is a favorite of mine too. Wear what suites your body chemistry,and your pocketbook. I'm obsessed with my Burberry Her & Ariana Grande's Cloud (love that you included that) I own all of her's, but that one's my favorite. Those are the only 2 off your list that I own. I have Marc Jacob's, but his perfume Perfect & YSL, but in Black Opium. Also love Dior's Poison & Clinique Happy. On the much cheaper end of things, I love White Shoulders ($25) it's an oldie but a goodie.

I think they resemble each other but honestly think 540 is on a different level. I never get compliments when wearing cloud but always do with 540. Though cloud last like 10 seconds on me so that could be the problem.

Yay! Love your videos! I know you're a grown married woman. But you're like my little sister and I just adore you. So....I too got "Guess Seductive Noir" because of you, and love it. It came in a mini box set( $11.00)with the regular "Seductive" and I LOVE that-i layer it with "In the Stars" lotion and body spray and get sooooo many compliments. Yeah idk about that, I don’t think cloud smells like 540 at all I also don’t like 540 but I do like cloud a lot, I wouldn’t even call cloud a dupe if Br540. In addition the assumption that people like it more because they “can’t afford it” would be untrue in my experience given I collect niche perfume and wouldn’t spend a penny on br. But I think your opinion is definitely interesting

I tested both including ALT frgrance dupe for it as well and I do notice a very slight difference but not by such a drastic point that I wouldn’t consider them a dupe. especially Alt Crystal perfume exact dupe the only huge difference is the lasting power. Alt lasted about an hour and Cloud lasted maybe a bit longer I forget

Just realized that might sound a bit snobby and I don’t mean it that way at all. 😅 Just saying that I tend to prefer it over fragrances I’ve spent way more money on. 😁 It really doesn’t smell anywhere near as cheap as it is and blind smelling it, I would never expect it to be a celebrity perfume. 🙂

Love your reviews and how relatable you are. I still don't perceive the fruity notes in Coco Mademoiselle ( my sense of smell could be horrible- idk) - even though is my go to for work- the ones I get complimented on are Lolita Lempicka & The Only One Intense. Coco Mademoiselle is not a fragrance I'll buy again once I'm done with it. I think I'll search for another elegant and "grown up" scent that has a bit more femeninity

I subscribed a few days ago, and have watched many of your videos, and listened to my favs when doing chores and playing the ones I've already seen! This one was how I initially found your channel, and it made a tedious task of doing a backlog of dishes SOOOOOOOOO much more pleasant! I had also forgotten how much I used to love fragrances, and am slowly becoming more focused on including them in my everyday life, and also therapeutic reasons. My previous job was a place where wearing fragrances was not permitted, so I am happy that I can gradually reintroduce them into my life and create some "scent memories" again. Dior Hypnotic Poison is by far my most complimented perfume! It’s so sexy and night time . Honestly once you try it you’ll always wear it even though it is pricey! I think it’s the woman equivalent of Dior sauvage

It’s an incredibly sexy scent! It’s got woody tones mixed with sugar almost. It’s so so good if you like a scent that’s spicey-sweet/mysterious and alluring. In my experience though it’s not very long lasting :(

Love your videos! I wanna recommend to you some perfumes that I think you would really like based on your taste Forbidden Sinner by Police. It has a resemblance to HP by Dior, but with an added caramel note. Honestly, it smells much better than HP for a fraction of the price. Insane longevity and sillage. Wanted Girl by Azzaro. Smells like dulce de leche, has slight resemblance to Alien despite its sweetness Luna by Nina Ricci. Gorgeous bottle, smells like caramel and berries Sound of Donna by Trussardi - whipped cream, chestnut and almond. Sweet by Lolita Lempicka - it smells like very powdery cherries in the best way possible. Slightly reminds me of lip gloss as well. Far Away Rebel by Avon - hidden gem considering the price. Smells like blackcurrant liqueur with cream and chocolate

My most complimented are Delina and freaking Pink Sugar!!! Always so crazy to me! I wear pink sugar on random errand/school days. Every time I have baccarat on I get asked if I’m wearing cloud 😂, but I still love it anyway and wear it on special days. Guys in particular always compliment Xerjoff Italica on me, girls not nearly as much, but that seems to be the favorite of guys on me. Girls seem to like Pink Sugar & Baccarat most on me

Hey there, just subscribed to your channel. Love all things fragrance. I own both baccarat and cloud, I will defiantly say that while the first spray might be similar to one another baccarat kills cloud! The dry down, projection and longevity of baccarat is second to none. Cloud is a sweeter younger fragrance that I also happily wear. If I’m looking at going out on date night, want to feel powerful classy and sexy I always go for baccarat over cloud. In saying that there is a huge price difference so no shame at all if you can’t afford the real McCoy. Rick cloud with pride. It’s a lovely scent. However if you are able to stretch the purse strings and grab the original do it!! You won’t regret it. Only problem could be you just can’t go back to “ the dupe” after you try the real thing. Thanks so much for the great content. I was to defund could you also incorporate bougie scented candles too? Like maliz and goets, byfredo, dipitke ect thx again
