This video brings one to the brink of despair yet shows that life endures and hope lives on from generation to generation! Profound performance by Dimash and all those who participated in the artistry of this production! The first lyrics are so telling "Can't believe what is happening at all PIPER'S crazy, we are bound to fall" seems to me to relate to a Pied Piper leading others astray! Showing his immense grief going to his home and finding his household, his daughter all dead. As he dies his son is born. You see the baby wearing the mother's sign of love and life and then he is shown grown into the very image of his father wearing the same necklace walking toward a dawning new light! My soul cried! Dimash is amazingly gifted and has an understanding of love and life beyond his years!

Three kids. One boy saves another (Dimash). Both boys are in love with the same girl. She chooses Dimash. Years pass, they grow up. The rescued boy (Dimash) and the girl become husband and wife. The second boy becomes president and starts a war. The hero of Dimash is trying to save his family - his pregnant wife and daughter. Once home, he sees the murdered daughter and thinks that his wife also died. Dimash wants to avenge their deaths. But Dimash's wife survived with the help of people who know that she must give birth to a special boy who will save the world. These are people of different nationalities, religions and countries who have united for the sake of peace. Together they create a common energy in which the son of Dimash is born. At the end of the video, the adult son of Dimash unites all people and leads them to peace, light and love.

The film is based on a story written by Dimash, with his own screenplay. (He worked on this piece for the last 3 years). The director Alina Veripya told about the creation of the music video for the new song : The clip is divided into several parts. The first one is about childhood. The main character, his 2 friends are connected by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the Protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in this children’s story, as the boys are in love with one girl, and she chooses one. The second experiences a kind of psychological breakdown and transfers the children’s problems into the adult world of totalitarianism and struggle. By becoming president, the Antagonist carries the idea of a saving war: “Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give the world freedom. A world where every city, every home is one. We will lead all who are ready to begin this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is open before me, and I want to give it to you. War for the people is the way to unity.” The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love. While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife (the very girl from his childhood) and his daughter. Once home, he is horrified by the picture of the dead and realizes that his family is also dead. After surviving this drama, he moves on to the antagonist to seek revenge. However, the Protagonist’s wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who must give birth to a special boy who can save the world. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for peace. A parallel line of pilgrims are people of different religions, walking the hard path to some place of power where they could unite and discover the Heavenly Eye that would illuminate the world. By uniting, they create a common energy in which the protagonist’s son is born, as Hope and Faith for the Better. Their journey is a symbol of faith in general, because it always goes through trials. When we go to the truth, we go through certain lessons and our way to God is difficult, but only possible if we come together. *This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. The son (of the Protagonist and his wife) survives with the help of people of all faiths, and in the last frame, he goes on, together with the pilgrims of all faiths, on the path of Kindness, Hope and Faith for the Better. After Dimash, the boy, gives his friend the pendant, the camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl. Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through, as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers." The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. Yes, you're right, the girl on the beach was his future wife. And she gave birth to her second child in the video. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. Desperation has led him to kill his former friend, he didn't know his wife survived. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man he unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. He composed this song for three years. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. Dimash has always had a very serious side, as has been shown in videos when he was a child, and the topic of some of his songs. Gorgeous and heartbreaking. Dimash has been studying music for many years, and has been making music with some genius composers, so he has had a lot of practice. I made the Imagine connection too but you're the only reactor thus far, who has mentioned it. There's more answers in the original video's description, too. Check out his Almaty performance of it....simply incredible. The man left all of his heart, his notes & his tears on the stage. After following him for some time now and hearing the pro-peace comments he made expressing anger, frustration, sadness over Ukraine at his Dubai, Dusseldorf and Prague concerts (and his FB posts at that time), and knowing One Sky was coming from his loving heart, I suspected it would be a pro-peace production from its title but none could intuit the incredibly spiritual pro-planet/antiwar art activism experience such as this profound, transcendental masterpiece. 🕉✡☪✝☸☯☮Let Love Lead 🌏🌎🌍

Not forgetting that Dimash wrote the screenplay as well as composing the music. Dimashali Creative Centre has existed for some years, opened by his father and a friend and named after their two sons. Since Dimash returned from China they've grown it and updated both technology and Graphics.

I'm very impressed with your interpretation of this video. A lot of people were not able to understand it like you do. The part where Dimash is going to get revenge on his ex-friend for killing his child you see the people who are walking into the light and peace and everything now is black and white and they are holding out their hands as if you say stop this isn't the way. And his actions resulted in leaving his wife without a husband and his new born child without a father. But on the other hand I see where he sacrificed his life for the future peace and safety of his family. It's a deep message. I have no doubt that Dimash has been sent here to help the world heal. I've thought that since the very first time I heard him. Thank you to you and other reacter's for helping to spread this important message. ❤️

The people walking in the desert are from different cultures and different religions and ethnicities, if you notice and they're the souls of the dead that Dimash eventually leads them into the light. You notice in the beginning you saw the word Requiem which means a Mass for the repose of the souls of the dead. An act or token of remembrance.

Thank you. You did a great job to a complex message. Its the dialogue . It took 3hrs for my body to stop trembling. It is raw and touches everything we know of society. To me the heros are those that rise up and higher. Death is not the end so no need for revenge we refuse to be divided by even religions. None of the holy books call for murder. We each have to decide to strive to he peace . Anger is like having a hot coal in your mouth , to chew and swallow to our own death inside.

Watched several reactions and lot of comments but most are still thinking Dimash kill the leader for revenge. That is no what I read out of this story. The story is like that: Three children built a friendship in their childhood by life saving event. After they grow up, one of them becomes a leader and he started a war under "giving people a freedom" slogan. Dimash fights in that war under the order of the leader, his friend, he is brave as his leader called on his people, kill enemies without blinking of eyes. But when he found that the the daughter of his friends was also killed by this war, he realized that the war killed anyone no matter which side you are. He realized that the war must be stopped. He went back to see his leader, the childhood friend and killed him to stop the war but he was also killed by their enemy or May be his fellow soldiers. People are still killing each other without asking why, why we have the war and why we can't find peaceful way to solve problems. Here Dimash is asking everyone who watch the video. In regarding the religious piece, I think it portraits as human we must keep seeking the light for rightness. As Dimash was fighting in the war, he is also seeking that light. New borns arrive every day but humans repeat their tragedy again and again. At the end, he conveys the message that human still need to search the light of rightness. We still have long way to go.

One thing I've noticed while watching reactors reactor to this video is this: the more you try to "fit what you see with your preconceptions" the more difficult it is to understand the message. One reactor was even encouraging and cheering the protagonist to shoot the "bad" guy in the face. I'm certain this is not the message Dimash wanted to convey. This film is designed to provoke, reaching deep inside oneself and pull out all the emotions that's been locked up.

Thank you! I had to watch this 3 times to really understand it and get all the details. Also, there’s a video of Dimash playing the soundtrack on the piano, which he wrote, without vocals, without all the heartbreaking scenes. It is BEAUTIFUL and quite different without the vocals and video.

'we have past the moment of imagine' is a reference to John Lennon's 'imagine'?...I agree with you..for the message to be clear and meaningful the video is imperative and makes it a bit impossible to dissect his voice because the 2 cannot be separated and the message from the video can't be ignored..I watched a reactor react to a live performance which I hadn't seen yet and I thought oh no I wish he had reacted to the video...but ....for vocal analysis the live performance is the only way I think and they changed the mix a bit in that they allowed his voice to have it's usual warm tamber as apposed to making it super clear in the video to stand out over all the explosions and sounds.

This is by far the best explaination I have found. It was written by Heiderose Kober: This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting. Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself. The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. (Thank you, Snarky Tart for that information). In the MV, (the taller child) who later becomes the military commander, never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, (the drowning boy), gives his friend the pendant. The camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl (later Dimash's Wife and the mother of his daughter who is killed). Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral l compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through rendering it useless as a compass. When we lose the original intent of a symbol by twisting it into something it is not or by just paying lip service, it no longer has any spiritual meaning. At best it becomes a useless prop, at worst it is used to mislead and manipulate people. Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht close to the end of the war in April 1945 in the part of Germany where I grew up. The good guys defeated evil but at what price? War is not the answer. (He worked on this piece for the last 3 years). The director Alina Veripya told about the creation of the music video for the new song : The clip is divided into several parts. The first one is about childhood. The main character, his 2 friends are connected by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the Protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in this children’s story, as the boys are in love with one girl, and she chooses one. The second experiences a kind of psychological breakdown and transfers the children’s problems into the adult world of totalitarianism and struggle. By becoming president, the Antagonist carries the idea of a saving war: “Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give the world freedom. A world where every city, every home is one. We will lead all who are ready to begin this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is open before me, and I want to give it to you. War for the people is the way to unity.” The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love. While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife (the very girl from his childhood) and his daughter. Once home, he is horrified by the picture of the dead and realizes that his family is also dead. After surviving this drama, he moves on to the antagonist to seek revenge. However, the Protagonist’s wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who must give birth to a special boy who can save the world. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for peace. A parallel line of pilgrims are people of different religions, walking the hard path to some place of power where they could unite and discover the Heavenly Eye that would illuminate the world. By uniting, they create a common energy in which the protagonist’s son is born, as Hope and Faith for the Better. Their journey is a symbol of faith in general, because it always goes through trials. When we go to the truth, we go through certain lessons and our way to God is difficult, but only possible if we come together. This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. The Protagonist dies, his daughter died as innocent casualty of war, (possibly his wife dies in childbirth ?), the Antagonist dies. The son (of the Protagonist and his wife) survives with the help of people of all faiths, and in the last frame, he goes on, together with the pilgrims of all faiths, on the path of Kindness, Hope and Faith for the Better.
