Vuyo Zungula of ATM became the youngest member of the cabinet and youngest leader of a political party at just 34 years of age. With those two seats they got in 2019 , they have since made an impression. I hope they will do enough to retain or get 1 or 2 more seats

Youngest member of the cabinet and Youngest leader of a political party at just 34 years of age AS OF 2022. That last part is very important. Remember Malema lead EFF to 25 Sits at just 33 years of age in 2014. Let's be factually accurate in giving credit. All credit to Vuyo Zungula nonetheless. He is one of our own, and I wish ATM growth in 2024 elections.

I loved the rather collaborative nature of this debate between ATM and BOSA. It shows that if they were to be in a coalition, they would be able to prioritize the needs of the people of SA, because they already agree on the fundamental principles for governing a country. SA needs such people who can put aside their differences to focus on a common goal (prospering SA), not political parties that are looking to feed their own interests more than those of the country that they have been entrusted to govern. Thank you to the SMWX team for making it possible for us to have access to such an educational platform. And thank you to ATM and BOSA for availing themselves. ATM has won this one for me.

Fortunately as am MK member I do not have to watch debates to find out what they stand for on key issues, everything is clear with MK, BOSA has too many red flags, color lines this and that, South Africa is a country with a racial history and inequality and these have to be fixed, I am now convinced that they are DA light from this debate. ATM would be the better option for me.

Atm is has got some good point though but I'm not too sure how they going to manoeuvre their relationship with the eff post may 29 especially when it comes to the issue of immigration because eff would rather sell their families than doing away with the open border policy. And it's rather interesting to me when Bosa participant always notes that " I fully agree with my colleague". This shows that in SA there's no need for all these parties because they agree in a lot of things. It was unfair to always asking the atm guy questions first because it seemed like the BOSA lady is repeating what he's as they are having similarities of policy.

According to the world statistics, South Africa 🇿🇦 releases about 2% of global greenhouse gases (I stand corrected). My guestion is that why should we need HUGE loans for PV Solar Panels, Turbine Windmills and more Nuclear Power Stations while we have more than one could ever imagine for in natural coal to keep our existing Power Stations ( some/most of them to be refurbished, though) running with an uninterrupted electricity supply?🤔 The leading countries of CO2 emissions are China, USA, India, Russia, Japan, Germany, Canada and the list goes on...?🤔
@mojalefajacob4049

It's easy for elites to make money as long as Eskom is the sole supplier of electricity. The goal is to make the private sector eat as well. I don't think it's because of the exaggerated climate change. The same thing happened with COVID-19 people who refused the vaccines were ridiculed, but today they're still alive and well.

They will reduce unemployment by providing jobs to South African citizens who are known and accounted for in unemployment statistics and home affairs, most foreign spaza shop owners are illegal, and unknown to the government and our statics. They work unregulated and don't have bank accounts where they store money. If more South Africans were to won spaza shops they would definitely be regulated and the suppliers they source the food & products from will be know also, foreign spaza owners manufacture these products, that means they are counterfeit goods that also negatively impacts on the economy as government is not collecting revenue for these products and the companies that produces them. Some of these products have killed people even, South African children. The overall supply chain of spaza shops will be back in the hands of South Africans, so many jobs will be created my guy.

I don't want to lie I am gonna vote for Bosa, but honestly there are some instances that i felt that the ATM guy was more articulate and thorough, especially with the Education and Immigration policies...i feel like Bosa is afraid of how society will take them when they actually start commenting on Illegal foreigners and all...at the end of the day illegal foreigners are a problem in RSA, considering they get easy treatment here and if BOSA says they don't have problem with that they might end up losing votes. We need to fix boarders and Home Affairs and root out corruption that is true, but what will we dl with the illegal foreigners that are here already? We can't just make them legal because they have been here...i really need to hear mmusi's plan on this otherwise i am going to jump ship

Regarding the education debate, it’s disappointing that neither party speaks to the psychology of the education system or lack there of. And I extend this comment to most parties. There’s surface level thinking here which in my part are semantics. The core problem lies with the psychological aspects the children go through which are never dealt with. My sister is a teacher at a school in the township. All she ever cry’s about is how broken the kids are psychologically. They come from broken homes and abused and it doesn’t matter which school you go to, take a broken kid to Bishops and they will perform poorly. Have policies that speak on the mind and well being of our children and the rest will take care of itself.

15 min into the debate and you can already tell that ATM knows what the people want and how to go about getting those things. To the BOSA lady, Zim was sanctioned and it will take decades if not more years to recover, their doctors and nurses are here in SA some earning peanuts and exploited, asking their leadership to account and what not, should be secondary to what we have to do to protect our own economy and I think she rode on the facts given by ATM in this case by just agreeing without giving and articulating facts on the development of the economy and micro economy.

The truth of the matter that most SAns will never admit is that we will forever have Zimbabweans entering SA if Zim government doesn't sort themselves out. Great debate probably both guests brought about popular views nothing new or strategic presented especially based on scientific and practicality. I mean you asked a very simple question to both "How can they both do different from what has been done already" the answers do not move me as far as Health,Education and Energy is concerned they are talking in amplify terms if I may say so put more money in TVET, change the curriculumn in the basic education but I do not get the change yes but focus to what exactly what it that they think the country SA should produce best vs it's world counterparts then that for me is vague. Eskom is unbundled what do they say or Transnet question the Bosa speaker says "bring in the private sector" instead of talking state capacity so they glorify the private sector as an alpha and omega and little did I know that ATM is Faith based my own understanding of such defining organizations have a tendency to really not deliver anything bt we need ATM to be the necessary voice in parliament but I am voting for non as a young person based on this debate.

Meritocracy doesn't even exist in the private sector where it is presumed to be most implemented, most corporate functions are a scam and do not require the so called 'degrees' they demand of you. Even those who are experienced get training and are thought exactly what to do. Accountability on the other hand ensures that the position is kept based on your work ethic and results.

Sometimes we must not just debate for the sake of content. It is difficult to create a debate between parties who remains with a common vision of unsitting the current Government or the ANC if we could say so. The idea is cool but almost all the parties available in South Africa's voting list is or will go against the status quo. Or at least, let us try to hear from the parties without trying to create a debate, because the Information offered by the guests is very necessary. It will give the South African Citizens a choice for voting.

It would have been nice for the debate's adjudicator to alternate who needs to go first after he had posed a policy issue up for comment (instead of always giving the ATM chap the right of first reply). In that way we would have had a clearer idea of what BOSA stands for. Right now, Sis' Ayanda Allie had to preface her answers by saying she agrees with her colleague. Otherwise, I love Ayanda's confidence and spunk here, and I wish the form of the debate could have suited her more. As for Nyaniso Jeku, he needs to appear more on all media platforms as someone who speaks for the standpoint of view of the ATM in burning issues.

Ayeye, I love the fact that our politicians are younger. They have ideas. South Africa is a complex country with its history, it's economy and constituency from different parties. My problem with party politics is one, they seem to be fighting each other instead of fighting the problems affecting the voters. Can they work together? What are they willing to compromise? To get the country moving forward. Do the leaders have the character traits to treat citizens equally? Personally for me, I have the top 5 parties. The anc did well to deal with apartheid problems but not problems in our democracy, so they become no5 and the DA no 4 because we need a white political party in South Africa especially looking in Africa as a continent. I think the Eff went out of their way and worked harder than any other party in the election season, they're in my top 3, this Bosa I like their leaders and personnel but not sure what they are willing to compromise,.

This thing that there are more affluent kids who are ready for the workforce/varsity while others are not and having to do a year of service or work to prepare them for varsity/work is total nonsense as it will create further divide in the country between the haves and have not, because ofcouse your so called affluent schools like she earlier said come from the privileged parts like Sandton; So you have to fix the very point that makes the education affluent in some parts and poor in other parts, go to the root of the problem dont try to fix the root while the foundation is a mess. The interviewer has to start with BOSA and switch the next question to ATM, its quite clear that BOSA is not for free education. ATM still takes the lead on education for me. Her point of TVET college is important, students are forced by universities to take courses they do not want which leads to many doing useless courses, leading to drop outs and unemployed graduates.

i will not lie I expected ATM to mention Environmental Health Practitioners since last year they wrote a manifesto for government to employ them. Employing Environmental Health practitioners will help improve healthcare as it is a profession that helps prevent illnesses. Once Environmental Health Practitioners are employed they would play their role in public health by ensuring that the public does not contract communicable diseases, allowing the diagnostic and rehabilitative spheres of health to give their services to people who need it the most, not for cases which could be prevented though preventative health interventions.

Regarding the health care system… it would be quicker to build trauma type hospitals than fully fledged hospitals. Think about this, in the Nelson Mandela Metro, there are three public hospitals with trauma/emergency rooms. That’s the problem. A metro with more than 1mill people can never be serviced by three hospitals. Thats why people are bursting at the seams. Having 24/7 clinics might even be the more immediate option while more facilities are being built. Have policies that capacitate trauma rooms and we half way there. I will not speak to the non negotiable upgrades all public hospitals require from a health and safety perspective.
