I did apple-picking in NZ, but got the sack on the first day! You had to climb up ladders and stand on the very top and pick....nothing to hold on to, and the basket in front makes you off balance, so I nearly fell off a few times, and the manager did not want a an accident waiting to happen, so gave me the boot! I then did apple packing
my first job in New Zealand was making Pavlovas, I worked for 3 hours and never came back! I was extremely squeamish of having to scoop the super sweet cloud like egg whites into something that looked like a pan, then placing it into a baking tray pulling then pan up in the hope that eh pavlova would say beautiful and round...in the mean time you hand is sticking to everything .... no thanks...then second job was inside a silo scooping oats to the center of the silo...looking back its like a horror movie
This is the first time that we are covering the Fruit picking industry but we've done a bit of Cow milking and Bee Keeping earlier on in the year, search for that on our channel :) If you can't find it let us know and we'll dig them out for you.
Damn, I wish I had done this in my early 20s! This was the early 2000s. I was looking into how I could spend a year in New Zealand, and I saw things about this while looking online, but I thought it was probably exhausting migrant labour that would make me miserable and I wouldn't enjoy my time in New Zealand because I'd be too busy trying to pick enough Kiwis to get by.
Hi there. How can I find out more about working in New Zealand? I am interested in finding out more about this work opportunity. Please let me have more information about the probability of this coming about. Thank you.

Greetings NZ Pocket Guide! We are the Korean TV Show production team! We are now making a TV Show of four Korean famous celebrities traveling around New Zealand, and part of our video includes contents about Working Holiday. For the introduction part of Working holiday, we really want to use the "insert cut" from your video. If you allow us, we want to use a short clip, which is around 10 seconds. Of course we will write your youtube link in our video as a reference. We sincerely want to use your clip in our show, so it would be great if we can have a positive response from you. Thanks. Best regards, Sunju

Heya, Thanks for the comment, Robin is originally from France and has lived in New Zealand for over 11 years now. Laura was born in the UK and has been in New Zealand for 8 years. Although we do still sport our original accents, we are happy to let you know that we are both proudly New Zealanders as are many people with accents, it just adds to the fantastic welcoming melting pot that is New Zealand 🤩🤩
