Sleep Apnea is very common in children. If your child is struggling to breathe when sleeping please see your doctor and ask for a referral to an ENT specialist. Many children have large tonsils and adenoid glands which can restrict breathing. Removing the tonsils and adenoid glands is a relatively simple surgery and recovery is fast. It certainly work wonders for both my kids.
If you ever see anyone struggling to breathe whilst sleeping then please encourage them to see a doctor.
