You can also hard save in front of the Eevee in case you fail to catch it so you can reload and try again. I realized I could do that after failing 3 of them. Just make sure to turn off autosaves.

Eventually you will have a bazillion eevee's, if you don't already... Normal, shiny, alpha, shiny alphas... so many eevees

Actually, there is another method, the Space/Time Distortions. I went into one last night and I caught a Level 25 Eevee and a Level 25 Umbreon. So it's all about luck.

Although there is an element of luck, some Eeveeloutions can be found in a Space/Time Distortion on a certain area.

This tip isn't so early into the game, BUT I find waiting in the tall grass inside the Space-time distortion is a convenient way of catching types of eeveeultions, each time I go in them, I'm able to catch at least 2 or 3 of them. And going into different areas helps too! Go into Albaster Icelands to find a Glaceon in them, or go to Cobalt Coastlands for Flareon, night time being umbreon, and I find that Obsidian Feildlands are kinda neutral, meaning any of them can spawn within the distortion. Hope this helps for anyone who's mid game and wants to finish up their PokéDex! Good vid as well, very useful!

A very helpful guide. May your skills be praised. I like Vaporeon, Espeon, Sylveon and Glaceon the most. As a kid I had the holo jungle Jolteon card ! As a kid I hated Umbreon, but liked Houndoom. :)

Guys here is a tip in the field lands were you catch the evee and if it doesn’t spawn you can just kill all the bidoof we’re the spawn locations are and sleep until morning and it should be there after 1 or 2 trys

Yes!!!!!! My favourite Pokémon is Eevee! I have the game and i caught one cause i saw it once in the beginning of the game after i fought the theives. I am actually surprised that after catching eevee and getting satchels, i found two water stones. I was excited but satchels in my opinion is confusing where it is xD. Nice guide though it's very useful.

Sylvian was actually the very first Eevee Pokémon that I evolved and it was simply by leveling it up I was very surprised lol

A few of these can easily be replaced early on with pokemon like psyduck, buizel or shinx being found early on meaning you don't need umbreon, vaporeon or even espeon Depending on what starter you pick you won't need leafeon, flareon or vaporeon either

I have only one Alpha Eevee so far and, while I was going to evolve it into vaporeon at some point, I think I'll evolve it into Umbreon, because it's totally bad-looking! I have two regular Eevee, which will become Espeon and Sylveon

The problem with battling eevee to catch them, is that it doesn’t stop them from running away, and they always get three turns to do so before you can even make your first move. And in my experience, they alway run in those first three turns, unless it’s in a distortion zone, in which case it’ll be super aggressive, have 3/4 super aggressive friends, and be completely overpowered.

Did you save before evolving eevee ? I got espeon as my fist eevee in the game like I wanted to without trying really but saving the game before evolving is a good idea so that you can try again differently if you didn't get the one you wanted.

Got all the Eeveelutions from STDs. Just walk in, hide in grass, and throw an ultra ball/gigaton ball at them (and catch them at lvl 60) instead of hunting for a lvl 12 Eevee, then having to meet specific criteria.
