Thank you for the comparison to Live Tinted, I was wondering about that! The live tinted shows up a tiny bit orange on my pale skin (but still works, is one of the better tints I’ve found) so I think the hero probably would for sure
@@DanaRipperton Yeah lol :) I live in a very white neighborhood, but I myself am filipino and tan very easily. I guess because it’s natural i don’t see the appeal

I'm obsessed with their first sunscreen. It's literally the only one I've ever tried that doesn't have me thinking "I can't wait to wash my face" at the end of the day. Plus, the price point is much better than most facial sunscreens! The new one looks too dark and orange for me based on your review. Thanks for the helpful info! I do have dry skin, but I've found myself loving every Hero product I've tried. They also make my favorite hydrocolloid patches! If they ever release a zinc-based, water-resistant SPF 50 I might be the first customer in line.😆
Would love to find more no white cast water proof mineral sunscreens for humid summer...currently my summer face sunscreen is Australian gold tinted mineral spf 50.
Yes, agreed! I like how they seem to be very thoughtful about what they put out so even if it takes a while I think if they made a mineral one I hope it would impress me like these have
Actually I want more matte mineral tinted sunscreens… Not everybody is obsessed with glow..some of us want good old matte look..I will anyhow became glowy on my own during the day 🤣
I actually just tried this sunscreen this morning and I really like the formula and the shade. However I find that when it’s applied, it makes me feel sweaty. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this. It looks great on your skin Dana!
I’ve had that happen before but only with the Drunk Elephant Umbra Tinte. Might be a slight reaction to something in it, but I never quite figure it out with the DE one. Sorry that happened to you!
I honestly had the same reaction last summer when I was using it. I am wondering if it is the niacinamide? I have had slight reactions to niacinamide serums, sometimes in moisturizers. It's the only huge difference between this and the green sunscreen. My face didn't react in a sweaty way when using the green one. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the tip regarding pumps...I enjoy the green hero sunscreen. When I first apply it washes me out and is greasy but dries down nicely. Since summer is rollin in soon I just don't want a glazed donut look so I may look into the peach one with fall or winter. I have dry acne prone screen.
@@DanaRipperton I did noticed it’s stained my hands my finger a bit. Did it do that to yours? I wonder if it’s doing that to my face? I guess I’ll see if I look like a carrot by Friday 😆
Thank you Dana for this review! I have the same skin complexion than yours but on the medium-dry side of it. Therefore looking for something more hydrating with an SPF50 or more for my melasma dark spot. I also understand mineral is better for sensitive skin. My fav so far is the sun bum 50 mineral but they dont have a tinted formula. I was wondering if you have any video coming up about this or any suggestions? Thanks! :-)
Mineral isn’t always better and can actually be quite irritating if you have to do a lot of rubbing and have sensitive skin. It’s kinda part of the whole ‘green washing’ of the cosmetics industry.
