Hi Helene I'm glad you're feeling better and taking time for yourself, I can't believe all that snow behind you, it was in the high 60's here today. The Caron Coconut Cakes are beautiful, you really chose two beautiful colors to blend together. All the yarn you showed us today is so pretty, it would be very hard to choose just two. I love the gorgeous blue shawl you showed at the end, you always create such pretty shawls. Take care Helene!

Hi Cheryl! I'm listening to my body and resting a lot. Nice you're having more Spring-like weather. Only 30 degree here, at 11am; but we eventually get there! I was thinking that bright pink Coconut Cake would go well with the leftover Lemon-Lime. I've already started to play, and it's working up nicely. Your sentiments on my shawls are really appreciated. 😍

Helene, welcome back, I am so glad to see you. I hope you are recovering well, my friend. Thank you for taking us to your Michael's - I was just at mine today and they did not have the Loops and Threads DK or the replacement for Barcelona, which I really liked. But the Michael's here is not as well organized as yours. I saw the coconut cakes but I have to say that after a lot of contemplation, that is just not for me. But I very much appreciate seeing your swatch and hearing your comments about it - always helpful! Thank you so much and welcome back!!

Oh Nancy, thank you SO much!! I'm a lot better this past week, finally. Doing everything I can to help myself fully heal. How fun you were at your Michael's! Hopefully they'll get the new yarns in soon. I really like that Delicate DK, and would love to get some for a shawl. They've had the Impressions for at least a year or maybe two now. I get your decision on the Coconut Cakes! Took me 3 trips to finally try it! Probably why it's still sitting on the shelves.

OH Happy Day, my friend is back, with goodies too! LOL! So glad that you are feeling better and up to a good sale as well! I may even venture out to my local store, and see if they have any of the Cakes available here. Hi My Friend! So good being back! Lots to catch up on, one step and one breath at a time! I don't think you'll like the Coconut Cakes. It leans towards a rustic feeling yarn. If you venture out, I'd love to know what you think and if you get anything else. I can see you using the Delicate DK, which I'd like to try in a shawl. Gorgeous solids and multis. Uh oh...Michael's is calling my name again, LOL! I remember that beautiful piece you make in NuBoo (color Salmon), some years back. You might like the TruBoo replacement; but it's thin, in comparison. 💗💗💗

I'm so glad you have fun with me! I'm ready to go back again, ha-ha!! Just in the last few days, I've been able to take full and deep breaths for the first time in 3 months. still doing breathing treatments 3 x day, and back to exercising at the therapy pool, which has helped tremendously. 🙌

I am so glad that you are feeling better, and we get to see your cheery face again! Wow, I love all the new yarn and I am going tomorrow to get some. A few weeks ago, I bought the same blue green Coconut Cake that you bought. You inspired me and I got it out and started an asymmetrical shawl, but I am also anxious to see what you make out of it. I like how smoothly it crochets up too. Your granny shawl is very cute and I am going to get the pattern. I have several of your patterns and I enjoy them so much. I really want to get your Cabin Fever tote bag, but need to know how long the strap is, to know if it will easily sling over my shoulder. Take care and happy stitching!

Hi Sandy!! That's so kind of you to say, and really means a lot to me. Sorry for the delay. Some days are still better than others. I'm interested to know what yarn you wind up getting. How fun, you got the same Coconut Cake, as me! I was also thinking an asymmetrical would be perfect; but already created a new design in one, with other yarn set aside, for a little later in Spring. Thank you for purchasing my granny shawl pattern, and asking about the handle! I've updated my CFC Tote Bag listing. Handle/strap is 11" in height, and 1 5/8" wide. I can't believe I didn't include that from the start! Very important features, for me too! Strap height lands about an inch beneath my underarm, while wearing two layers of oversized fleece tops. My usual t-shirt size is XL. Hope that helps! 💖

Thanks Helene! I will measure and see if the strap handle will be a comfortable size. Yes, the trouble is when you get big winter layers and jackets on! I started the Not so Granny Shawl today and it is so beautiful and also thick and warm. I am using the I Love This Yarn teal/green twisty yarn. I haven't made it to Michael's yet, but I will soon and go check out the new yarns that you shared with us. (:

@@sdcrilly Getting dressed and going anywhere in winter is such a project! Yay! So glad you're enjoying the Granny Shawl! I Love This Yarn is always a great choice! My shawl was really oversized, like a cozy blanket-shawl. I made another last week for an order. Will show next time I'm on. Have fun at Michaels, and thank you for purchasing the bag. Today I made it to Michaels and since I am on a yarn diet too, because I am drowning in yarn, I only bought 2 of the new ombre gray yarns. They are so pretty and I will get more colors later, I am sure. I would love to see your second Not so Granny shawl that you did. BTW, I crocheted 3 of your Dew Drop Baktus Kerchiefs and am working on two more. They are so dang warm and cozy and I wear them every day. Thanks for the great bag and patterns and the fun!

I went back to Michaels today myself, while in town! Picked up just 2 more goodies that I'll probably show. You gave me big smiles, know how many of the Dew Drop Scarf thingys you've made! I can't seem to get enough of them either, and so happy you share my love for it. They're really nice in lighter weight yarn too, going into warmer months, to have a little something for when the breeze picks up, nights cools down, or around your shoulders when the a/c kicks on. 💖💖💖💖💖
