Hello Alaska, and thank you for asking! That’s actually a knit store, bought sweater! But…has definitely been on my list, as inspiration for creating something similar in crochet. I’m not sure when, as I’m working on a different one now; but hopefully in the near future. So I hope you’ll stay tuned! 😍
@@alaskaforgetmenot I've been studying it myself, to figure out the best and closest way to replicate it into a crochet version. I'm glad you asked; and now, there's one mystery solved! 😅 I'll have to be on the hunt for a suitable speckled yarn; since was one of the main attractions for me. Too bad KnitPicks discontinued their Comfy speckled version. Would've been perfect!
I’m smiling, knowing you love that color! Sometimes unusual can have the most unexpected surprises, and this was definitely one of them for me. I think would make a lovely cardigan, blanket, scarf. Hope you doing well. 💗💗💗
Oh bummer on losing them; but wow, I’m so touched that you went looking for me. That really warmed my heart, and I’m happy we’re both still be here. ☺️
Good to see you! Glad you’re taking time to take care of yourself and finally feeling better. Hope you can enjoy getting back into making!! The bags are great!! Take care!
Hi Evie, and thank you! I do hope to start filming again soon. I might do a quick little something first, while easing back into it. And perhaps a little show n' tell, too. 😃 Take good care of yourself as well. Hope you're enjoying the change of season. 🍁
Hi! I’m so glad to know you love the bags! I don’t have a pattern or tutorial yet; but on my list, and will get to it when I’m able. Not sure when. A couple others to do first. 💗
Hello Helene, I've missed you! It has been a long, hot and dry summer here too, it feels like fall is in the air, we're going to get rain for a few days, I hope the leaves are pretty this year and stay on the trees for a while. I love your bags, they're all beautiful but I like the blue bag you showed last the best. The yarn is really pretty and I like the size of it. I'm sorry you've been plagued by migraines, my husband gets them, I have had very few headaches for which I'm thankful...got lots of other aches and pains though! Hopefully you'll start feeling better and those headaches leave you alone, I enjoyed seeing you today and seeing the beautiful bags you created, take care my dear friend!
Thank you, sweet friend. 😍 How nice you'll be getting some rain. I'm hoping the same for Fall's changing colors Fall. Days are still mostly warm; but nights are getting so cold, with a freeze warning tonight! I like that blue pansy color a lot too of the least bag. It would make a lovely sweater. Sells out quick at my Michael's. I'm sorry your husband gets migraines. So fortunate you have very few headaches! Bummer on the aches and pains though. I've been doing an anti-inflammatory diet that seems to be helping my body in a number of ways. I hope you'll find some relief too. 😘
What a lovely shawl. Love the Crescent shape. It looks perfect on you. I know for sure I’ll be making it. Thank you so much for the tutorial and I’ll be checking out your channel more closely as I just found you. Hope you feel better soon, stay safe and God bless.
Hello and a big welcome! I’m so happy you found me and hope you’ll enjoy being here. I really like how curved shawls follow the lines of the body. It’s fun to experiment with different shapes too! Thank you for your heartfelt and healing thoughts. May God bless you too. ☺️🙌💗
Hi Helene. It is nice to see you and I hope you get feeling better and better. I am sorry to hear that life has been such a struggle lately. I just LOVE your super cute bags and all the pretty yarns and colors that you chose for them. Take care. (:
Hi Sandy! Lovely seeing you. The bags were fun to make, and how each one turns out with its own personality. Thank you for your warm and kind thought. I appreciate you a lot, and hope all is well. 🥰
Helene, I was moved by this video in so many ways. I can relate to your health issues as I too have severe food allergies causing GI, skin, migraines and other symptoms. I did seek help with a holistic doctor and he put me on a limited diet and I feel better. I agree, we all need to take time for ourselves and grateful you shared your personal issues with us. The bags are adorable and I want to make some. I look forward to the next video ----No Pressure --- self care is more important. With Sister Love!
Hi Katy. Thank you so much for sharing your experience too. I often hesitate saying too much about my personal stuff; but sometimes it can help others. Having a network, we can learn from each other. 💗 I've thought about seeing a holistic doctor; but I do a ton of research, and have adjusted my diet accordingly. Very limited, and is helping. I also gauge by how my body responds/reacts. Often times I don't even have to ingest something, to know. By looking at, or touching a product and the sensations I get. But still, it's a challenge, and I'm very sorry you go through that too. I have my theory on what triggered it from the start; but that's a whole other story!! I'm exited you like the bags and want to make some too, which really inspires and motivates me! Take good care. Sister Love, and all the best to you, too.
Oh hello helene, I am so very happy to see you, my thoughts and prayers were constantly with you in the fervent hope all was well with you and your family ❤️🙏 the bags are simply beautiful, the granny one appeals to me, just the right size. Take good care, I really enjoyed the talk, see you very soon. Hugs 🎪💜🤎💚💛🧡💙
Hello Susan! Always so nice seeing you here. I truly appreciate all of you thoughts, prayers, and support. We've also been taking care of stuff around our place. I'm so happy you like the bags. I'll likely do a tutorial on both. You can make the other bag any size you like; but as with everything, it's all personal preference! And that's why I like having options! 😃 I also hope all is well with you and yours. 💗🙏🏼💗 🌸
Gorgeous, just altogether beautiful Helene!! A+ Those are awesome bags you've made 😮 I've really missed you! I'm so sorry to hear that you've been going through health concerns. I'm very proud of you for stopping and putting yourself first and making 'Self-care' a priority! Yes, I am very interested in watching you teach your version of it, please!! I would love to purchase one of your bags as well I'll check your shops out. I will keep you in my prayers too. 💗💐💖
Oh wow! Thank you!! It's very special to me, knowing I've been missed. It's very good to be back; but was past time I slowed down, and re-evaluated everything I do. I really appreciate your support on that too. ☺️ I'll put that bag the bags on my tutorial list. I don't have any in my Etsy shop; but I can certainly list them, or email the measurements of which one(s) you like best, and go from there. That's really nice you're interested! I still have jewelry I want to list also. Thank you for your prayers. Sending warm thoughts your way too. 💗💗 xoxo 💗💗
Glad to have you back my friend, so don't push yourself, just keep it slow and steady! Could your eyes be causing some of the pain? I know how that can happen too! I love all the bags and yarns, and what a prefect project for this Fall Season. This too shall pass, and Smiles from J.
Hi my friend! I'm really listening to my body, taking each day as it comes, and resting a lot. You're right about eye strain. Too much computer time in general can trigger a headache on its own, and even a little vertigo. Dividing my videos into smaller segments will be better all around. I'll be having some diagnostics soon, to get a good look at everything. I really appreciate your encouragement and grounding thoughts. The bags were fun to make. My crojo is working its way back, just as you'd said; and will add those to my tutorial list. I was in Michael's today, with $5 rewards burning a hole in my pocket, LOL! Surprisingly, no yarn (although I did take a good look); but got a new pair of Fiskars instead! 💗💗💗
Well hello there, been a minute or two.. your bags are so pretty, I like them all but the green/teal whatever that you sold I love! It is so pretty…sorry you haven’t been well, I do hope the future is better..get those little flying things with that spray bottle… Zee mixes up some “skeeter spray” is that what your using…love and hugs..❤️🌼
Hi There! Yeah, a minute or two in the scheme of life! That's neat you love the green/peach bag too! The little flowers were a fun touch! The colors were so fresh and Springtime, the bag was calling for them! My spray bottle was water and essential oils. I researched and read that wasps don't like peppermint; so I added that and a few others, to cover the spectrum of flying buggers! The yellow jackets are literally chasing after us! It's been crazy, having to make a "beeline" (ha-ha) for the house! Love and hugs to you too. 💗
Oh, that's terrific! I'm so glad to know I'm still popping up on RU-vid. I appreciate that you've subscribed, and hope you'll enjoy what I have to bring; and will feel inspired to check out some of other tutorials and such. 😍
Hello. Yes, you are correct. Three rows of all DC, followed by the 3-row pattern in the new color, which consists of 1 DC row, 1 filet crochet row, and 1 more DC row. End your blanket with the 3 DC row. Hope that helps. Have fun! 💖
I hope my first reply made sense. Here it is again, explained a little differently, just in case! 3 rows all DC in your main color, then new color in the filet crochet, set of 3 rows. . (dc, ch 1, sk 1, dc in next = filet crochet row). Your repeat are these two, 3-row sets. Main color for the sets of 3 all dc rows, new colors for the filet crochet rows.
What a fun idea! 😃 I don't see why not. If you use a really strong fiber to hold its shape, you could probably put on different type of clasp, to hang an I.D. or other tags. Can always give it try and see how it works out. If you make one, I'd LOVE to see a photo with your doggie modeling it! My email: cabinfeverc@gmail.com 💖
Hola. 💖
Yay! Thank you so much, Linda! I’m so happy you love this shawl, and enjoyed the tutorial. Hope you have a great time making and wearing it! I appreciate you being here. 😍
How do you handle customers that might want to try on your hats for fitting? I have my first show this weekend and afraid I'll be asked if they can try on my hats.
Hi. Oh, I can guarantee people will want to try them on! People want to naturally see how it looks and fits. And you might get some who don’t ask; but will grab one and plop it on their head…ugh. Especially kids. A few things you can do. 1) Make a little sign by your hats that say, “Please Ask Before Trying On”, or “Please Ask First to Try On”. 2) Bring some plastic grocery store bags, and have each person put one on their head; so when they try on the hat, the hat is protected. 3) Use a natural spray hand sanitizer to lightly mist the inside cap portion of the hat, after it’s been tried on. I would absolutely stay away from a synthetically fragranced product, for those allergic and/or have chemical sensitivities. There’s a brand at the health food store that carries 2 ounce per size, with lavender essential oil in it, by EOS. Also, depending on where you live, if you’re in the US and have a Trader Joe’s near you, they make pretty much the exact same one, with their own label. Comes in lavender and grapefruit. 4) if someone starts walking over towards your hats, let them know before they even reach their hand out to pick one up, they are welcome to try them on; but they need to do XYZ first. I.E. Wear the baggie. Hope that helps. Have a great time at your first show and I hope you do really well! 😍
Beautiful design! Happy to have found your channel! Though I've been crocheting a few years now this crossover stitch is new to me and I love it. I'm not totally confident with it yet.. What number of clusters will we have at the end of the round- if our base is the same size as yours? Thank you!
Hi Sparki! Love your "handle" name! Very cute. 🌸 There are two double crochet for every cross stitch. If working the same base as mine, you should have a total of 30 double crochet (15 cross stitches). If you increase to a larger size, as shown, then whatever stitch count you have after your last increase round, will be the same going forward. Hope that helps, and thank you for asking! I've since gotten into the habit of explaining that in each new tutorial. I'm so happy you're enjoying my channel, and appreciate you being here! 🩷 The crochet cross stitch is one of my top favorites, too! 😃 (p.s. Cluster stitches are completely different, and I love those too!)
@@cabinfevercrochet Thank you for the compliment as well as taking the time to explain about thy stitches.. I am definitely looking forward to checking out the rest of your content!
I love your Sunny Cove Hat Helene, that's a lovely name for it. I've had a problem with my internet, couldn't watch videos, my internet is always slow too. I think the global outage last week messed my internet up.The yarn is gorgeous!
Hi Cheryl. I went back-and-forth on the name for this hat, and really appreciate you feedback on it! I had a couple others in mind; but will save those for something else! We were affected by the global outage too, with all communication systems down. Such a strange feeling. I love that speckle yarn! The solids are just as nice. 💜
Finally got a chance to watch your tutorials. Kinda glad, because I can go on to watch part 2 also. Thank you so much for your tutorial for your pretty hat! I always appreciate the detail with tips and tricks that you include in your tutorials.
Hiii! Sometimes it just works out better, divided into two parts. Glad it did for you too! Thanks for all you said. I appreciate that you appreciate the details! I would feel naked without them! 😂
Another stylish hat to share with all your YT friends! For your Birthday, why don't you do a full slide show with music and pictures of all your beautiful hats? I think that would be an eye catcher! Smiles from J.
Hi my friend. It was a workout; but glad I updated it, making it even better. Been a good seller so far too. Now that’s a thought, doing a hat slide show! You always have such creative ideas! 😀💕
That’s so nice you watched part two already! I’m smiling, and really glad you’re enjoying it! Your comments means a lot, and I sure appreciate your support. All the best to you, too. 💕💕💕💕
