Hello, can you please tell me what you did with the straps I've made two bags except I haven't been able to finish because I'm not sure what you're doing with the straps and what the Stitch count is in between the straps. @@shadowofshad6476 I had three skeins of yarn left, each was 50g or 140m, but one I already started to use for a different project. I used up all three of them, you need quiet a bit of yarn for these bags, but I also shortened and thickened the straps, since the yarn was a little stretchy

For row one, if you put the double crochets into the back bump of the chain, it will be super apparent where to put your stitches when you start crocheting in the bottom of the stitches. And it makes for a very neat row. Also, for the first row of the strap after the chain 80, if you SC into the back bumps of the chain, it makes the edge so much neater, than the traditional way.

@@mariaalkandari583for me my yarns were pretty thin so I had to triple it so I needed about 3-4 balls so I think it all depends on the thickness of your yarn

This was my first ever crochet project and I was able to complete this bag in about 2.5 weeks. This is a super easy to follow video! Personally, I would’ve made the straps a lot longer, maybe 120 chains but that’s just my preference. I’ll be making another one!

Hi i’m confused on row 2/3. I’ve restarted the project a couple times and keep ending up with row 2 having 103 stitches and row 3 having 109 stitches. How are you getting 104 stitches for row 2 and 114 stitches for row 3?

@@josiealexis2132 you can use acrylic yarn if the bag will be used to carry extremely light things like a shirt or a sweater. anything heavy will pull the bag and cause it to stretch and lose its shape. def recommend to use cotton for a bag!

Thank you 🙂 ive put this on my list as just looking for a bag pattern 😁 im just wondering if my dk cotton will work well with it,actually thinking of using double strand so that i can have a nice transition of colour throughout . For example , I might use 2 strands of dark navy, then 1navy 1 red together, then 1 red 1 yellow together, finishing with 2 yellow .i will just have to decide how many rows to go with each combination 😅

Please explain to me what you did with the straps? What does that mean 11 cm. I would really hate to have gotten all the way to the end and not understand what you're doing with the straps I'm still fairly new at crocheting and this is my first bag. The tutorial was easy to understand all the way until we got to the straps. Please let me know how many stitches until each marker. Thank you so much

you said a multiple of 3 but 44 chain stitch is not a multiple of 3,so what is the right multiple for the base chain?because i am using a thin yarn.

Thank you for the excellent tutorial❤ I finished one for an order from my friend 😅 I made it by using 2 mm cord and 3 mm crochet hook, so the bottom of the bag became only 6 cm wide. Anyway, it's acceptable. But if I want a wider bottom I'm not sure how to increase dc in the corner.

No ideas which is the best, depends on you. I use it about 400 grams or 720 meters, sometimes 1 ball = 100g , sometimes 1 = 200g, if I said how much ball I use, not correct at all.
