So good that you are learning these things while you're as young as you are. Nature was always my place of restoring and reconnecting and regrouping so I could go on and face my days. But I no longer live in the country but at 80 I'm living in an apartment with a small patio that I can put flowers and ferns during the summer. And then I had the most glorious view of the Sandia Mountains and a beautiful maple tree outside my apartment and I'm on the 4th floor so I'm in the treehouse. I have found that if we're willing to change and to grow we can always find ways to do things differently than we once did in order to take care of ourselves. It's important to know what refreshes and restores your soul and then to make sure you have those things in your environment

Perspective is so important. I no longer have a garden, but I have a huge balcony I fill with plant and flowers. From here I can see the mountains, and watch the world go by. What a privilege it is to be where I never expected to be, but I get to be my truest self anyway. Enjoy your tree house!

Your videos warm my heart. I'm not alone. The last couple of years I have identified anxiety in my body. Learning when they hit and how to lovingly ease them. My mantra is "Im Happy, Healthy, Lived and Safe. Thank you" This helps me so much. Value all of me and what makes me ME❤️ Being outside is essential for me. Im wishing peace and love to everyone reading this. Blessings 🌸🌸🐣🐣🌸🌸

Wendy, thanks for the video. It's so rewarding to live a life of gratitude. The top of my gratitude list is always a hot shower, privacy and my own living space, my hubby, my siblings, life, love, health, peace, freedom and lots of other simple things. I don't really need a lot of tangible things to be satisfied. You are such an inspiration. I always love to see James there with you when you take your little nature walks. The two of you are so precious. Wishing you a wonderful day full of sunshine and love. Hugs from Texas.

I definitely have struggled this past 18 months. I lost my job, lost 3 members of my family to Covid, & my partner left me after 10 years. Trying to get into my new normal, but being chronically ill is hampering my routines. I also like a structure to my day, but sometimes it isn't possible, so your videos are such a balm to my worries, as it reaffirms that it is OK to rest when u need to & just getting through the day is a " win ". Thankyou Wendy ( and James ) for all you do ❤️

Since March 13, 2020 when we first went into lockdown, I refused to be afraid. At first, probably like everyone else, I was apprehensive about the situation we were all thrown in, but soon I realized it was not entirely as it was portrayed to be. I made a conscious decision to leave social media, and turn off all the news and guess what happened? I suddenly realized my world was safe and normal and full of possibilities. I refocused all my gained time, since we were all working from home and schedules were pretty flexible, into my art and into things I really wanted to do and that gave me a lot of joy. I decided to change my handwriting and that required me to practice my handwriting for hours at a time. Since I needed to write something I decided to copy books out of the Bible. I’ve copied a few books filling tons of notebooks using my newly acquired fountain pens and beautiful inks. The process allowed me to think more about the words I was copying therefore delving into the depths of the word of God in a way in which I had never done before. That sustained me, and gave me more hope and understanding. At the same time I crocheted a ton of new garments which eventually I started to sell. Of course I kept my art going as well. My hands are never idle. I am constantly creating. The process of creating is the fuel that makes my life and days meaningful. I am lucky enough to have a beautiful garden with huge trees and lots of plants. In the morning I like to sit on the patio and enjoy the first rays of the sun with my cup of coffee and my favorite RU-vid channels. Sometimes I just sit and listen to the birds. My little Maltese dog always keeps me company. Having a little fluff ball is therapy in itself. Although most restaurants were closed during the lockdown, I never stopped “eating out”. Most restaurants we enjoy were open for takeout, so on a weekly basis I ordered take out from our favorite restaurants and kept that routine going because it is something I always do with my son. Every week we have a mom and son date when we go out to a restaurant and just chill and talk and laugh and catch up on things we sometimes forget to share with each other. We began doing this when he was in second grade. Now he is in sixth grade. The lockdown did not stop us from keeping the tradition. I feel bad for people who allowed their lives to be barged in by the iron boots. Nobody and nothing should have so much power over people’s lives. Turn off the media, and go outside and talk to your neighbors. Walk in the park, go to church, go to restaurants, coffee shops, and talk to people. Soon you will realize the world is not as terrible as they make it seem to be. It’s important to forge new relationships and make sure you live in a community that supports its people. Nothing is worse than having neighbors who don’t care for others but themselves. Social media and the masks have allowed for too much anonymity that is now more like a plague across the globe. I have students who refuse to take off the mask simply because they don’t want to show their face, not because they are afraid to catch the virus. They like to hide behind a mask because they feel awkward and not at ease with themselves. Anonymity is the killer of human connection which is what this world needs more than anything else. A sense of safety will never be achieved while we hide behind avatars and masks.

Hello Wendy from the southern US. I have become a huge fan of your channel, your art, and You. :) It's so comforting to find like-minded souls out there in the world. I live in the country and cherish those quiet moments of nature. You are so right on how nature does a body good. When I'm feeling sick or just "down", I immediately remind myself that this feeling won't last forever and with some self-care practices it will be done and forgotten before long. Thank you for sharing your up's and down's and for being "real". Sending warm hugs and pockets full of sunshine your way.

Thank you for sharing a chapter in your life. 🙂 Appreciated

Dear dear Wendy, You touched my heart so very much with your truth today!!! I am 68 soon and still “struggling” to find my balance in this time in my life now.. I am generally a very happy person with so much to be grateful for. Our sons that have become good men. My husband for 47 years that reminds me of James. We always knew that we were the loves of our lives… isn’t that a great joy?? And we laugh a lot together… so with him my mornings start happy.. And then there is a little grandson… which I am in love with.. But also there is the Jacqueline that thinks she has to do ( too ) much, please others, doubt myself and even sometimes think that I am not a nice person. And I know that sometimes I am not a nice person. But isn’t everybody? I even have a wonderful job. The women and men that come to my courses work with leather and make the most beautiful things. And I think that I make a happy place for them… oh I knów I do. So what I am trying to say is that although there is so much happiness in my life, the journey to my calm an creative self never stops… So I love hearing you being so honest and clear in describing your feelings, struggles and triumphs…You are a true inspiration for all of us.. Love and thanks from Jacqueline from the Netherlands.

Hi you have turned in to my Sunday morning Vlog while I’m getting my son ready for the day which takes abit. To day you reminded me of when I was a kid play in the woods full of blue bells, I can still remember the scent. It’s been many years since I have be able to smell English blue bells (us ones are not as strong or as sweet) I try not to dwell on the past and live in the moment but I think it doesn’t hurt to wander down memory lane just a little. It’s a feel good feeling that we all need sometimes. Now if I can get my hands working I can start some sketching again. Keep smiling keep believing blessing.

I totally identify with what you say about finding solace in nature. I had a bad day on Tuesday to do with work and decided I couldn’t deal deal with it so took the day off and went to Seaton to recharge. Paddled in the sea, had a little picnic and just sat on the shingle watching the waves for two hours. It was bliss and totally the right thing to do because it restored me. Thank you for your honesty Wendy xxx

Thank you for being so genuine. What courage to be honest when so much online is about projecting images of perfection (and requiring perfection of others). It is so beautiful and comforting to see someone being human. It is so kind of you to share this with us, to remind us that we can be kind and allow ourselves (and others) to be human also.

At my "certain age" I give myself permission to have those days when I rest more than accomplish tasks. I find that when I take this quiet time I can reformulate my ideas on what I need to do, steps I need to take, or process life's challenges in order to move forward in a less stressful way.

Wonderful videos Wendy! 🤗🥰😘♥️ The Great Awakening! 🙏🌍 I’ve loved this time to myself throughout the past few years I’m a early retired nurse due to fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue! I’ve loved being out in nature taking pictures/video clips and putting them together to my music collection for my own use - local woodlands/lake and the north wales coast! Knitting and reading and listening to inspiring people on RU-vid pure joy! My next new thing will be doing some embroidery on antique french linen that I’ve just received I’m planning to get my 5 year old granddaughter Meleri involved in sewing while her older brother Ioan and her cousin Tomos (who is also 5 both born on the same day) run around as boys do! Thank God for everyone who is working for humanity! 🙏♥️🌍 Spiritual awakening- 3D To 5D what a wonderful time to be alive! ♥️🙏🌍 The best is yet to come! ♥️🙏🌍

I am 56, and just starting to really care for myself. After raising 3 great kids, working alongside my husband, caretaking my mom and pretty much serving everyone and never saying no to any requests I am finally understanding that we all need “Margin” - that blank space that we can fill with those things that recharge us and give us true joy. I’m finally understanding that scripture that says Jesus came to give us life, and not only life, but ABUNDANT life (John 10:10)! Strange the clarity one can get by slowing down and re-examining our priorities and remembering our dreams!

Thankyou so much for sharing this with us Wendy, you’ve taught me to give in to low moods and fatigue where I couldn’t before. You’re right about getting out in the countryside, I suffer from a social phobia I’ve had all my life and can’t normally go out alone, but two years ago I took in an adorable little dog that needed a home. Strangely, she was bullied in the kennels and was a bag of nerves, I think we needed each other. I can now go walking in the woods or down the beach with her at my side and am so grateful to walk in the countryside, it’s such a tonic and gives me inner peace where there was none. Just want to say thankyou again, you’re a true tonic yourself! xx

Thank you Wendy for giving us a peak into your private home life and routine. So much of this resonates with me. I have a similar routine on the weekends, get up, make my bed, let the sunshine in, enjoy my morning coffee on the back deck in the garde watching the birds,, do yoga and try and get out for a walk in nature after a healthy breakfast. But my routine falls apart on the weekdays as I have an office job in the city and it's all rushed to get out the door but I do get off the train two stops before and walk through the botanical gardens to my office. It's a gamechanger and puts me in a good mood for the day.

Definitely on the same wavelength. What you said about healing being out in nature; appreciating and feeling grateful; being in the moment of contentment. Those moments are beyond price. When peace of mind is attained, we realise that that is all that matters. I love my home, but being outside is where I feel most at peace. Among the trees, on a mountain, by water, looking at clouds.

This is a beautiful presentation. Like Einstein said, all is energy. Nature is the energy of love, the Sun is energy of Life itself so a stroll in nature, feeling the sun is so healing. I find laying on Earth brings my frequency back to calm better than anything I could do. And meditating can bring enlightened downloads but always makes my day more organized somehow. Our resilience is creating one's own reality, not letting "authority" or media dictate it for us. YOU are free, you ARE free, you are FREE!

Thank you for your lovely sharing… I feel you are very beautiful, open, honest..and this is uplifting to my spirits. Something very special about you my dear. Grateful to have found you. I had a wonderful wander around the woods this morning, and in the afternoon the sun came out after many days of dreary windy cold here in Maine. Finally I began to feel I was coming back to life! Hallelujah! And bless the simple things . Steady on. Raw juice is great! So is coffee, savored, appreciated. It’s the way you go about it all that makes it good. BLESSINGS to you and James 🕊🥀

Thank You so much for this video, and thank you also for shedding a light of the days when we are not feeling so good, for helping us normalize feeling under the weather. This makes such a difference, as this was we can accept our feelings and work with them, and not feel like we are less or unworthy because we are not happy and chirp all the time. I send you a BIG HUG and lots of love from Costa Rica.

Your channel came up into my feed and this is the first video that I've watched from it. I know exactly how you feel. I'm desperately trying to keep to a daily routine myself. Your world, like mine, is also very small. And I have no problem with that in general. But I know that if I go out of my routine to any great extent. It really throws me for a loop for the whole day. I hope you feel better. Make sure that you're getting plenty of vitamins and minerals. That also includes getting plenty of protein. I don't know whether you're eating a regular diet or vegan diet or whatever. Just make sure that you're getting all the proper nutrients that you need. That's going to play a big impact on your mood. Take care and God bless.

Just watching you rest on your couch was lovely to see. Its good to know that we shouldn't feel guilty for wanting and needing to take a break and rest a while. Please do more of these self care video's. I do hope you are feeling better and your mood has improved. You are blessed to live in a lovely part of the country. You’re really not alone, my Dear. I’m really struggling at the moment. I had an injury and I’ve been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. My body is riddled with it and I also have fibromyalgia. I’m lucky though and I’m grateful to still be here. I lost my Mum to cancer in October and although I’ve been shook by my recent health issues, I’m grateful that I’ve got the chance to better my lifestyle, to help myself through self care, eating cleanly and eliminating all that’s toxic. I’ve come to realise that I’ve been given a second chance. I’ve abused my body through food addiction and put it through hell but it’s still here, holding me up but it’s tired. Time for me to show it love, care and really try my best. I thoroughly enjoyed every single moment of this. Do you mind if I ask, do you live a plant based lifestyle? Do you have any favourite foods that have huge health benefits? I’m on a journey to learn more about how I can give my body, heart and soul everything it needs and be happy and healthy. Lovely to see you and James. I can’t wait for the day to be able to walk further than my front gate. I desperately want to be in nature, walk through the trees and just be. Thank You for “taking” me there with you. Much love, daisies and buttercups. ~Laura xxx

Hi Wendy. It is very disturbing to have neighbours, or any kind of people making noice which affects your life inside your own 4 walls. As an introvert and highly sensitive person those incidents cause a lot of stress. I found, that in my life, the only possibility for peace was to move house. I was very lucky to have found a place which is most of the time a place of peace. (I moved about 20 times in my life so far and I am 56 now) Of coures, sometimes one cannot avoid noice or people who make noice outside, but then I try to focus on something else. One night, I even packed up my then 7 year old and we drove to a quiet parking lot across from the monastary which is only about 500 m from my house, and we parked there and rested until after midnight. It is a way of reacting non resistantly. I practice Aikido since 2015 and in this peaceful martial art, we train to move the attackers energy away from ourselves. We guide his attacking energy and let it flow into nothingness, away from us. This practice I also integrate into my daily life and in situations. As for feeling down and lowly and tired you probably had a lot of tips from RU-vid friends already, but let me write down a few of mine as well. Maybe there is the one or the other you haven`t heard of yet and will help. I found, that since I started menopause I feel often sad and hopeless. But I catch myself, when the feeling comes and I start talking to myself, that this feeling will pass and that it is not ME, it is just a hormonal issue. I then study my herbs again and look up natural remedies for menopause symptoms. I do get a lot of hot flashes too. Fortunately I sleep well, but I do have to get up at least 4 times to go to the bathroom. Every 2 hours I am awake, but I fall right back asleep. It is not so bad. Kind of like wolves do. They take wolf naps :-) I red a book once, where the protagonist spend a few months with wolves, observing them and getting closer and closer to them. He copied their sleeping behaviour and found it indeed very refreshing. :-) I can also suggest St. Johns Wort, as a herbal infusion or as capsules. You will have to take them for a few weeks though to see benefits. This is taken often during darker months, for many people do have more depressions in winter. You are already doing a lot of good stuff Wendy. Celery juicing is terrific and all the green juice you drink is also so good for your blood. The darker the green, the more iron. That goes for dark red berries as well. Iron is important for lots of things. I like to use freeze dried parlsey, because I get the benefits of the iron in concentrated form. I would be interested indeed in your celery journey and how it benefitted you. Also, it is so o.k., to love the nice things in life. I love clothes as well and I indulge in my sewing, knitting and thrifting. Good vibes are important. The better we feel, the more joy we can also give to others and share.

Yeah, this video poped up just the right moment, when I had that sort of morning when you wake up already tired, frustrated and don’t know what to do with your life… No a single joy in the upcoming day, you wish it end sooner, but tomorrow will be the same, will it not? What is the hope that one day everything will be different? It will not, unless you do something. But what is it? It’s so hard to covered from the pandemic years… Keep going, Wendy, you are not alone!

Dear Wendy, as a longcovid patiënt i relate to the frustration of not feeling well and have to slow down a lot of times But it strikes me, that whenever i am in nature, everything just is so like always! It just going on the way it has to, no matter What happens in our world, It keeps steady and lovely like it was in beginning of time. That is just wonderful and that in itself comforts me. Like nature is saying, its Allright ! Love you very much!😘🌹🌹🌹❤️

My body and soul have been trying to tell me to take some TLC time for me. You are such an inspiration Wendy. I love the time we spend together. Sometimes you are the only company I have. Always wishing you well from afar! Sending sunshine and huggs your way! Hi to James too! Thank you to you and James. We have been through it these last few years, haven't we? I think, as women, we tend to go inside ourselves when we must and self-care is a wonderful thing. Through the pandemic, my mom had a small stroke. I never thought of my parents as "old", and this scared me. Then she had to have a quadruple by-pass (the woman does nothing halfway), but has recovered and is doing well. Fortunately, my dad is pretty much fine. They are 82 and 83. I remember keeping the last message my mom left on my voicemail the night before her by-pass, just in case. Even thinking about it now makes me cry. I have never felt so scared, but with the help of my husband and a lot of journaling I got through it. Self-care is necessary. After all that, the store my husband worked in closed permanently, so he lost his job. I'm self-employed, so that helped. Things now are so much better. He has a much better job, my mom is doing well, my oldest nephew is getting married in a few months...funny how it takes something so drastic to really make you grateful for the little things. Sending you tons of hugs..

Dearest kind Wendy, so much of your video sharing helps so many we are never alone because we have Christ in our heats till the day we die. It is normal to have up and down days and night . So many times we let our time go by without even giving ourselves a thought and spend lots of time on what we need to get done . Yes we need that too but the need to spend quality time is more important than the time spent . Lots of people say what you say about feeling your alone but trust you have lots of followers and we feel that too. Life would be really dull if it stayed the same without change since our own bodies change. Post videos when you can and let God do the rest he knew you before you did. See RU-vid not the only one that can go on and on lol. I truly enjoy you company so thanks for sharing you have a gift .

Wendy - not sure if you're dealing with, or perhaps approaching, menopause. The first of my 10 grandchildren was born when I was 50 and just in the midst that that crazy "change." So, here I had these lovely little babies coming into my life when my own hormones were going nuts, as my childbearing years were coming to an end. Those were some challenging years. But they didn't last forever, and slowly I came back to myself in a new and better and calmer way. All of that just to say that there is a light at the end of that tumultuous hormonal merry-go-round, and a time when "keeping your light bright" will be easier! Love you lots and thanks for your great videos!

Thank you for sharing the more personal side of things and more importantly for keeping it real and honest. I think it's great if someone has a super awesome energy filled morning routine of hitting the gym and eating the most balanced breakfast and putting on a full face and 30 min hair style, but let's face it, that takes a lot of energy to do that everyday, haha! I think it's wonderful that you are in tune with what you truly need and listen to your inner guidance. I know I couldn't jump out of bed and run 5 miles and drink a kale smoothie. But if that works for someone else, cool! :) I'm more of gentle slow mover in the morning :D
