The reason is he prolly can’t see for shit. The camera is prolly tilted up at ~60 or 70 degrees, and so when flying show and you’re flying level, you’re more or less blind. Racing quads are hell to hover.

Yea what joob says this is a feature called launch control which was added to beta flight back in 2018-2019. It makes starting a race much more interesting specially when you don't have specially built launch blocks which is what they used to use instead of doing this.

Once AI gets good this will really start getting scary. They’re very agile so they might easily dodge most air defense. Fly centimeters from the ground so no way to see from range. In such quantities you can’t do anything against it. I wonder though why they don’t replace the AI components with humans today. Or do they? Imagine a squad of pilots, about 1km away from targets, wanting to storm a building. Just take 10 pilots, the first blows up the door or window, the other fly in and take out targets. Maybe the signal is easily jammed?

You could pretty easily create an autonomous drone to go to some coordinates, lock onto a target using computer vision, then calculate where to shoot (using kinematic equations maybe?). No AI required. Creating a neural network to accurately fly THROUGH a war torn building, on the other hand, would be very difficult. I honestly believe we're atleast 100+ years away from tech like that. It'll happen one day, but we have a very long way to go in terms of sensors, data acquisition, battery technology, etc.

I'm surprised how few people know that they've been admitting to the existence of UFOs for 5 years now (except they call them UAPs for some reason; "Unidentified Aerial Phenomena"..which is obviously totally different from a flying object LMAO).
