The Suzuki RE5 has been fully restored, but when I started the engine, the transmission made a strange noise.
First of all, please take a look at the situation.
In the future, I will post the work of removing the engine from the chassis and checking the inside of the transmission.

Thank you for this video series! I’m in America and I just purchased an RE-5 for restoration. They’re super rare and it was very hard to find an affordable one. There isn’t a lot of content about disassembling or working on these and your videos are helping me a lot. By the way, your Mazda is one of my dream cars - ever since I raced with one in Grand Turismo 4 when I was a kid. Keep it up, would love to see more videos of your Mazda and any other projects you have!

Primary chain lash. You will need to also check the tensioner and it’s spring to see if it’s spring is correct. Great restoration.

Nice restoration! I'm surprised you didn't pass out from running it in a closed garage for that long. Did you ever find out what was causing the noise?

Thanks for your comment. Yes, I found the cause of noise, eventury. I forgot mentioned about it in the channnel. It was maine shaft bearing which I selected general one instead of genuine one, because it was not available from Suzuki. The genuine bearing has gloove for retainner to stay correct position, but normal bearing dose not have it so that maine shaft can be move thrust direction. It allowed to conact shifter forlks and gears and making noise…

Great Re5 mate I've got a blue one, dose the noise go away when you press in your clutch leaver?

I do appreciate your comment! The symptoms were various, sometime it's gone by clutch manipulation, sometime not. She has always shifting problem. The noise are easy to notice when she stands by side-stand but center-stand. I've got a blue one recently too...she needs restoration as well. I will post it to this channel.
