NOTE:- This is an old video - This method of getting the testcard on freeview NO LONGER WORKS.
Before the arrival of 24 hour TV the BBC regularly used to broadcast Testcard F to help service engineers carry out picture alignment on televisions.
Testcard W (the widescreen version of testcard F) is available on Freeview, here's an explanation of how to get it.
This only works on Freeview it does not work on Freesat!
One of the most popular tunes used by the BBC on Tesctcard transmissions was B.A.R.T by Ruby.
