I am still utterly so impressed young man of the quality of work you continue to show us on your home. It seems everything is done within great timelines and well thought out so again I cannot say enough about you and your home Congrats! Keith
Nice ! My husband and I have prints for place like that but we end up buying a house already built. We call it a post frame but barndominium is probably the better term. Paint it charcoal. Very dark gray would work with the white doors and windows. Great job, I really like it.
Thanks for keeping up with these videos!! You're an inspiration buddy, I hope I can build something similar to yours, all in due time. Have an awesome day!
I agree with your comment, I'm 57 years old and totally glad to see some of these youngsters that have the talent and drive to take on projects like shown in the vid, well done.. I'm proud of him and let he be an inspiration to others.
Hi Chris, nice video.your personality really comes through.so sorry about the bee sting.hope it heals quickly..I can't wait for the painting.Take care buddy.
The natural tan of the siding is actually a pretty decent color itself and contrasts nicely with the tongue and groove stuff you did. Blends in with the scenery nicely. If you can get hold of more of the tongue and groove, making some board and batten style style shutters out of the same material for the windows that aren't under the porch/deck roof would look pretty nice and tie in with the rest nicely.
OMG, I know it's too late now but, if you get stung again, take some Benedryl for the swelling! That looked pretty bad. And if the stinger is ever still in there, use something like a credit card to scrape it out, don't squeeze it! I can't wait to see the house once it's painted. It's coming along great. Keeping my fingers crossed for the weather to cooperate for you.
You got a great spot there Bro. I feel ya with the bee sting. I used to be a chimney sweep and got stung in my top lip one day at a job. Tried calling the office an hour later to let them know i was done, they didn't know it was me, my lip was so swollen i couldn't form the words.
Look into tapered drill bits. They’re designed to drill into finished wood without risk of blowing out the back side. Good tool to have in the box. Keep up the amazing progress!
My friend owns a paint company here in Arizona. His prep guys use a 5 gallon bucket half full of water and grout sponges to clean their hands and wipe the caulking. Give it a shot so much better than a wet rag and keeps the mess to a minimum..as a door and trim guy I hate caulking I can't keep it off of me!!
You may have been asked this before.. but I'll ask anyway. Why did you choose to go with wood framing and traditional siding rather than steel frame and R channel? I may be building this year so researching as much as possible.
You have work and school? Whatcha going for? Like the building.. good job!~ Is this new header you put in something that needs to be inspected? Or can you just build this and nobody from city needs to know? Just Curious.
Best thing for stings. Preparation H. don't laugh... it takes out the sting and reduces swelling. We keep an extra tube of it... for only that purpose.
I tried Preparation H on a sting once, it didn't do a thing and was totally useless. For all the good it did I just as well have wiped my ass with it.......
Could you make the music peak out at - 12dB? Every time the music comes on I have to turn the volume down, and then back up when you're talking. If you're using premiere to edit the keyboard shortcut is "G"
Greetings from Montana! Love your videos. I get a kick out of how high your hanging your cabinet. Hope you find a tall wife, otherwise you will be rehanging it....😋
