By what I’ve seen/heard/read, she was very controlling. She spent freely, but became angry when he spent any money. That house and their lifestyle was beyond their means. He was not happy that she was pregnant again, and if the Lifetime movie is accurate, he was not happy that she was refusing to name their son “Edward/Eddie” after one of his relatives, she picked the name Nico because “i want him to have friends.’
I know on the pictures of Shanann when she was young showed her with haircut just like Bella's! Maybe she thought it was the norm or possibly abusive, but we can never know. My mother did this to my sister and I because she said we wouldn't sit still they have our hair put up. I was so upset I would go and find my baby book to look at the pictures of me with the long hair with ringlets. She did this until I was 9 years old and I started growing my hair out and would not let her try and cut it. I would not let my hair be cut for years and she in my older sister would tease me about split ends. I thought if she was to cut it or have someone else cut it, then they would chop it all off. Which Happened the first time I let someone cut it. They cut it all the way to to my shoulders when it was all the way down my back before.

Ridiculous, Chris is obviously not as comfortable on camera as Shan’ann . Shan’ann grew more confident , she said often she wasn’t always that way. But at the time SW was promoting them, they didn't. They had coconut in them and had a warning for that. Although the FDA labels coconut as a tree nut, the vast majority who have a tree nut allergen are not allergic to coconut, as it isn't truly a nut, but a fruit.

You are rightful in saying that this case will forever be impossible to forget. This case isn't as difficult to understand as many think it is though if we look at the entirety of their relationship objectively and rationally. While the horrific murders are not justified, it's ignorant not to look at what we as humans do to each other to make ourselves unhappy. Although I'm a woman, I know that the majority of men want a wife who is giving her attention to them and not the outside world. Shan'ann was spending an enormous amount of time living for the outside world in her relationship with Chris Watts, and since we’ve found out Shan'ann's first husband had the same gripe - and he was an attorney, who could at least provide sufficient resources. And for that matter, Chris Watts was 20k more annually at his job with the Ford Dealership that Shan'ann convinced him to quit. All I'm saying is that perhaps Shan'ann could have been a bit more focused on her husbands/ relationships and a bit less focused putting on a show for the outside world. And again, making this suggestion in no way gives an excuse for Chris's behavior - but can indeed provide insight as to “what happend”, the thing so many claim they want to know, but inside really don't care about. In regards to this case, it's caused me to see two types of individuals. There is a certain quantity of people who relish wisdom and insight, as they strive for understanding, wisdom and health. However, the opposing type of individual seem to gravitate towards the ‘victim’ card and support being miserable in life. The ‘Victim’ grouping of individuals will take an abominable incident, like the Watts murders and use it as political football. In my humble opinion this is not an occurrence that should be normalized (should go without saying), and if this were really a normal behavior for men then we are all screwed as a species and society. For my part, I want to look into what took place so that I can not only see what happened with these two people but what was happening around the so that I might gain some actual useful insights in order to at least be aware, but hopefully be able to prevent or avoid such behavior. And from my own personal research and analysis, I believe that this incident is a result of our current culture/ society, with a very hard shift in values and priorities. The Documentary ‘Social Dilemma’ (and others) have revealed some very sinister truths about social media and its effect on human behavior. The way that we are all living lives to create a social profile instead of being genuine. The way we are falling inline with groupthink and placing a priority on validation and acceptance over truth and reason. The way we are valuing popularity over integrity and character. And this isn't even to touch on Marxist infiltration of our society and the disease of identity politics. In my opinion, these two forces played a major role in what happened here, in the Watts case. It seems obvious to me that both of these individuals were striving for some notion of public profile instead of being true to themselves and living a life based on what is real. Shan'ann and her quests that would have her ignoring her own children (and husband) and Chris, who was trying to find his place as a man, husband and father in a society where males today are largely vilified and regarded as pieces of shit. I see many young men striving for what was common in the past - bring a good man, only to get lost in the quest because larger society and most women don't value good men any longer. So what are young men to do, besides being vilified from time to time? They are young boys in a school and ecosystem that is completely dominated by women and femininity and a largely Feminist agenda where ‘masculinity is toxic.’ From where I stand, this is a result of our current culture and society, and anyone who actually cared about the children in this family or Shan'ann Watts would be highly invested in unearthing all the insight possible - but from what I've largely seen is people, like on this thread, who want to virtue signal trivialize what happened. This is more horrible than I could imagine on my own, and to normalize what has happened is almost as disturbing as the crimes themselves.

It's scary to think, that some people can turn out to be psychopatic murderers even if they do not show any signs of this. if the label on the actual package doesn't specifically say that it doesn't contain tree nuts or any type of nutrient ingredients then I would not feed it to my child ...I do not believe the FDA approved it from what I heard . I also wouldn't take it myself let alone feed it to my son or when I am pregnant. Out of all the videos I have seen her promote thrive not once have I heard the exact ingredients or the cost of a months supply. Not sure if other thrive promotors are different . Some say it is a weight loss product..others say it's not..some say it is vitamins while others say it is caffeine and guarana...Maybe it is just that I haven't heard her say it but I have watched all the videos since the last two years. Not to mention how many people have ended up in hard situations because of these pyramid schemes. I know people will come for me especially thrive promotors or customers but I know I am not the only one who sees the truth behind this.

I don't know...IMO...it really doesn't matter WHAT Shannan was like or what kind of life they had together. Millions of people have bad marriages and/or relationship problems. But millions of people DON'T do what Chris did to get out of them.
@alejandravillarreal4158 Exactly. I'm so sick of hearing people TRY to justify what he did...whether or not he did it alone or with help....by saying she was a bad person or bad wife. These people need to look in their own mirrors.
@alejandravillarreal4158 it's just crazy. People who have never met her in real life, who have only seen her via a few RU-vid videos, and read things online....act like they know her personally. They know all her hopes, dreams, secrets ...and all the skeletons in her closet. I wonder how fast they may all back track if they were now the ones with their lives plastered online for everyone to nit pick at and judge. I'm sure they would be defending themselves and trying to show people that not everything you see or read is true or how you picture it to really be. Yet they think they know everything about her and that relationship. In all truth....the ONLY thing that anyone really KNOWS is that her husband took her life and the lives of their children. Whether or not he did it alone, or had a helping hand is yet another mystery we may all never know.
I noticed on most these videos therescone thumbs down... hmmm... love shanann and these beautiful lil angels. Chris seemed like he was happy. I dont understand how this horrible crime happened. R.I.P
No, he definitely wasn't happy.....He never said much, 1st Red FLAG......and 2nd Red FLAG........ Wasn't as involved, in ANYTHING she did.......The quite 1s are the 1s you steer clear from........
I have a MSCJ and I study CJ cases daily. For the life of me I cannot understand why Chris Watts did this crime. This is the one case I cannot comprehend.
I watched a good amount of the interrogation footage. You can see that he confesses to his father before confessing to the police. Normally his father wouldn't be allowed in there especially since from my understanding he was never a suspect nor alibi. But I did learn from the comment on the "original footage" videos that his father was apparently high up in law enforcement. Don't remember if retired or not but it's obvious there's something about this story that gave them the ability to not have to go crazy looking for alibis
