First I had nothing. I cleaned the contacts. Worked in some spots. Then quit. With new contacts it always works in some spots, dead in others and the air bag feels nice and tight when before it wobbled!
Next I will have to take apart the column again and clean the contact ring behind the steering wheel.

I watched a similar video then went to fix mine. The other video he soldered a bit on the red wire contact to get it to work. I simply pulled out the red wire , stretched the spring a bit and fixed. The spring simply gets weak.

More like probably the horn ring is worn and warped so the spring takes up the slack. A new horn ring fixes these the best.

Ran the numbers all showed up as not available.All the bulbs are out , climate too. got alot of soldering to do. gms famous shit mini bulbs. dunno how many radios I soldered bulbs in now

If your clock spring is bad ,should you try cleaning contacts and or replace the contact activators and try before having to pull the steering wheel off to get at clock spring ?

Its fine the horn contact ring is warped from the hot heat here. I have a new one still need to put it on it works alot better after this
