Great turtorial that even the beginner DIY can understand. Nice video work along with explaining how your diagnosing each step of your troubleshooting 👍
Thank you very well explained. I've been having a intermittent horn problem with my 04 silverado.. I'll be going through and checking this as soon as the weather gets a little better. Thank you so much. Greatly appreciate your test procedures in explanation.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video & share your knowledge. I've been working on my son's 2007 Chevy Express van with this same issue. God Bless brother...
This was the best repair video I have seen in a long time. Clear approach by a talented professional as he walked through the potential causes and attacked each with the easier first. I have seen too many mechanics swap out the ignition module only to realize it was a bad spark plug. Keep up the great work as your customers benefit every day.
Totally agree! Very thorough video covering everything related to the horn! Now to see if I can figure out why mine isn't working. My fuse doesn't have power for some reason.
It's a professional work that well explained that can tell you have a well trained and experience within the automotive industry. Good work bro and admire your work. Stay blessed.
only problem i have is to much horn blowing 2 or 3 times is enough for us to know the horn works this is the first video i almost quit watching because everyone in the house was having a fit the horn blowing over and over
I had a similar problem, I fix it but my problem was defective clock spring. Yours is more simple just 2 plate I'm gonna have to modify my wheel to something like this one and get rid of the clock spring ..🤔
Hey bro , I have that 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 and my horn works sometimes? I have been wondering 💭 what’s up with my horn some time’s it works and then some time it don’t what up with that would you know???
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair oh wow, never thought 💭 that would or could happen, how do I check, I meter . Would that work or this here another way to check it?? I know I am a pain to you mechanic, lol thanks for your knowledge bro , oh know I was going to email, I totally forgot but I this weekend thanks again
The customer will be happy because the horn works, but he will also be upset because the airbag light stays on. Never disconnect the airbag without first disconnecting the battery, or you will have a red light on your instrument cluster. 😅
@magdalenoz3339 you're right about disconnect the battery first for safety purposes but if the light stays on after reinstalling the horn pad it means you had a problem in the airbag system! the light didn't stay on when I fixed this van!
What year truck? You could have saved time by first seeing if the keyfob lock switch would cause the horn to beep. And your title is misleading. This vehicle has a horn ring, it does not go through the clockspring. look at your schematic.
