03 Accord stuck in park and or cruise control fix

What about if you cannot shift it to park? I was driving fine but when I was getting ready to park it would not shift to park. It can shift to reverse, neutral, and drive but not park.

Sadly that is not the cause in my case. I can hear the solenoid unlocking the lever shift from park but the button won't go in for 3 times then suddently works. Sometimes it won't go in no matter how many times you try for 1 min then finally will. I know the button mechanism works by itself it removed from the stick (slides in and out no problem). I noticed the wedged metal part on the stick is free to rotate (not good) which can misalign the wedge. I think it's getting misaligned causing the button not to be able to push in.

Check first the fuses are all good. Next brake lights switch. It controls the brake lights so your brake lights must also acting up. Third is the shift lock solenoid .

One thing you forgot on honda is there's a hole that goes through the brake pedal, and you have to buy that little plasti Plastic Bushing that goes behind the brake light switch

The problem could be in diferent areas but if your shift knob button is broken take off what covers the shift knob and press it..thought this might help someone...and since pressing a screwdriver in would not work i had to shift it into drive at the transmission

Thanks so much just now I watch your video it’s really useful video if we Comparing with others video to get solution for same problem , all what u explain in this video I have been faced in my accord 2007 light on In advice from other video to put Screw instead broken part up to bay correct part, also brake stuck after try many times I found exactly wt you said Alignment problem, just one thing I noticed later on cruise on doesn’t work airbag light on in dashboard I have doubt if it from switch or the controllers part in side steering, your now confirm 4 me thanks a lot

Do you have a solution for getting the gearshift into Park? At the moment it will shift between drive and neutral... it will not move to reverse or park. The button on the gearshift has fallen out but I can hold it in and still depress it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Interesting! That switch, if not properly set (and it is very sensitive), can cause the brake warning light in the dashboard to go on. I didn't know that I can also cause the problem of not able to shift out of park. That *was* my car's problem. The switch was not released completely, and the car thought I wasn't braking, thus preventing me from shifting to Reverse or Drive. I bought an OEM switch and replaced it. Do *not* buy cheap knockoff/made-in-China switch, it will become useless later!

I just bought this part for my 2004 Honda Accord, and it didn't change anything. Like WTF do I ditto fix this!? I tried pretty much every thread and no matter how I adjust it, nothing matters. Break lights don't even work 🤷🏼‍♀️
