The score for this film is one of Arnold's best, imo. Using the Bond theme as a motif all over the place, with just small doses of late 90's flair, just delightful.
The World Is Not Enough is absolutely the most unfairly overhated and underrated Bond movie along with Octopussy if you ask me! Both films are in my top 10!
Although TWINE is mediocre at best as a film, I'll admit there's some great damn action set pieces and Bond moments, like this boat chase, Bond's escape from that meeting in Spain, the ski gunfight...
This was my first bond film I saw in cinema and I went to see this 3 times 1st time saw was wow specially the river Thames chase and the bond theme blasting out when the boat comes to millennium dome at the time of filmming it was not complete.
From 3:17 onwards, this acts as the end credits theme for any Bondverse story (film/TV). "I'll be gentle..." "Ohhhh, James..." *cue the Bond triumphant precredit sequence - gunbarrel, then roll the credits*
Interesting title...wonder if Pink Floyd ever noticed this was kind of a rip-off of the title of one of their songs (Come In #51, Your Time Is Up, which later became Careful With That Axe, Eugene)?
At 3:57 in the movie the rest of the track cuts out and it’s just the base guitar and other brass instruments playing. Is it possible a version of that exists?
It’s still the same length they just removed an instrument from this section so it’s technically an edit to the track. An extended version of this probably exists but not looking for that.
I've been looking for that since the film came out. 😂 I was disappointed that remixed section wasn't on this expanded soundtrack release, not to mention the film version of the end credits. I'd also like to see a mix of this track with the electronic elements mixed to the rear and the strings/brass/guitar etc brought to the front...
BOND FANS I NEED YOUR HELP: Which Bond film rips a phrase from the Bruch violin concerto no. 1 in g minor opus 26? The part I am speaking of is in the first movement usually around timestamp 5:00-7:00 where the violinist rests and the orchestra comes in and plays by themselves for a little bit. It is the first few measures of the violinist resting. You will recognize it when you hear it. I am not a huge film watcher but I swear it is from a Bond movie. Please help me out! Thanks!
