I'm 55yrs and never understood maths at school it was so complicated but watching this being explained simply is enjoyable. You're a brilliant teacher and I can do these now.😊
If only every school has a teacher like you, the school has a great asset. Students will be interested and the parents will be included in the learning process. I salute you.
Please you said ,3rd step is multiply and division , so multiplying before division but you did it division before multiplying see what you wrote (5+7)÷3×4=12÷3×4 =4×4=16
I'm 55yrs old and I basically grew up in the hospital. I was never bought homework, no one ever tried to keep me caught up. I'm still trying to learn. You made this so easy. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH. I look forward to your next video.
Totally empathise! I missed months of school due to hospitalisation and zero assistance. I was convinced that maths was an evil torture invented by a demon. That's over 70 years ago. But now, thanks to YT and gifted teachers, the fog is clearing and I'm gaining confidence.
@mathtutordvd WOW WOW WOW!!!!!! is all that I can say. 42 years old LPN and going back for my RN and gotta take college algebra and maannnnn was this easier than the book! Thank you so much sir. And PLEASE,whatever you do . . DO NOT stop helping us. I was able to learn this in your almost 40min. You are sooooooo good at teaching this stuff. And the many examples!!!! Is what seals the deal. God bless you a thousand times over.
Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent [turn away from your sins and don’t practice them] trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you.

Thanks you for doing this video, I’ve learned so much after been out of High school for 20yrs, better than the GED book itself. I appreciate your work! I’m happy to say I passed my maths and all the others! I’m now a GED graduate!!!👍🏾

Thank you for being such a great teacher. One of the reasons people fail in a subject such as math and algebra is because the teacher knows the subject, but has not the skills to teach. I have seen this over and over again. In most cases, the failure falls on the teacher. Excellent job!!! Thank you again.
I am 43 and retaking the college math portion entrance exam. I have watched so many videos trying to grasp all of this AND YOU JUST MADE IT SEEM AS EASY AS PIE!!!! I am literally tearing up!!! Thank you!!!
I love the way you teach. it makes everything so easy.. thank you.. I watch all your videos. I am 45 and about to take the GED because you explain everything piece by piece little by little I KNOW I WILL PASS!! thank you
My Lord Brother, you are the first person I know that can explain the little in-between stuff that everyone keeps missing and now it helps me understand the parts that other people do not explain. Bless their heart they're trying to help us as well but you sir explain in detail what the symbols mean I repeat the symbols and how to use them in very layman terms. Thank you so much I hope you are getting paid what you are worth, you very much deserve it. May God bless you for your extra effort
Since having graduated HS at 17, I had a motorcycle accident, leaving me in a coma for a week and a half and coming out of it in total amnesia. I had already signed up at college for my AA degree. When I started college, I had no clue what the teachers were talking about. I had to graduate HS a second time (my mother used to have both of my diplomas hanging on the wall together- people would ask her why she had a copies of my diploma. She would joke and refer to the dates [one a year followed by the next year} then she would joke and say I never thought he'd graduate the first time, much less twice). But anyway, I love this video, because after another eight fatal accidents (a coma and amnesia), it helps to keep things simple... Thanks
🌻Oh Mathtutor, I am so thankful that I just happen to stumble across your channel and just in a nick of time. I have been going over some of my old math sheets to try and brush up and refresh my memory on many of these math problems, I have scrolled thru a few other channels but nothing breaks down the math as simple as you do, right to the point, clear and precise😊you have made it very easy to follow you step by step, and the best part is you dont just break down a problem build it back up and then say see you in the next video, you have a great flow and you merge right into a few math problems that follow the one just completed which keeps us plugged in and keeps the mind engaged and in a state of all the pins are firing, the synapses are firing😊, thank you so much for the work you do and sharing, truly grateful Angie🙏🌻
The best teacher ever.. I can only remember : MY DEAR AUNT SALLY .. in place of MULTIPLY , DIVIDE , ADD , SUBTRACT.. ( to. complete the order of solving algebra ) Very , very , good .. More than. 60 years later , the teaching of correct order holds true even to this day... Very easy to remember my dear aunt sally... Thank you sir John.. I am learning again..and again. and again...Great.
Wow! Thank you so much for doing this course. Just found you this many years later, but the information still applies for those who need to know. Seriously, thank you!
Thank you very much for refreshing my brain,10 yrs after graduating from high school; and now trying to sit for my college entrance exam and these exercises.
Flat out the best introduction to basic math that I have experienced on Utube, and I have viewed more than 100. Talk about a hidden gem. Thank you 1000 to the 1000 power for making it.
Omg I have come back to high school thanks to you I'm 64 years old and now having to help all my grandkids in math I had froze from my math but I'm so happy that now I have you to teach me all over again and bring my math back to life.. I'm so excited in playing with my math again . Thank You so very much and thanks to You Tube I'm on a roll again.. I'm going to keep learning from your class sir. Thank you.. Rosie Vela from Deer Park TX
Happy Dad, awesome! At 50 years old I’m really stressing it. I was all set up for the science test and then I realized there was higher math, I rescheduled.
By far,,,,,, you're the best teacher out there! A great teacher is not only intelligent, but they have the ability to make the complicated simple, and you're the best!
PEMDAS is a great help! P _arentheses E_xponent M_ultiplication D_ivision A_ddition S_ubtraction PEMDAS = easy acronym to remember order of doing it. 😃 Got that from another yt vid on algebra. Helps me a lot.
I never had algebra and have been out of high school 30 years, terrified to take this class, anxiety overload. I've never seen an instructor that could teach you this and make you understand it by explaining why you do it "this way" He is the BEST. I need to watch all his videos on this course. He truly is the best, an ideal instructor. Thank you so very much.
55 year old trying to learn algebra just to help my college kids overcome the fear of mathematics. This is a super easy to understand class. Than you Mr. Jason.
Just found your channel and I'm learning algebra again. I passed it when I was in high school, but didn't fully understood. didn't sure why I passed the subject, You're a great teacher and really understood fully well. you're explanation. Never to late to learn the algebra and other components of it.
wow never thought I would learn this I was so ignorant growing up as a kid. I'm glad I finally got over my old ways this wasnt that hard I learned it in 2 days. never saying anything is to difficult again lol feel like I'm progressing in life. really want my GED

Thanks for simplifying it...going back to take my only needed math class after 40 years and scared to death...trying to refresh and this was a big help.
I thought that was boring at first because it seems the examples were repititive for me but when things goes by,I found it so interesting.I love mathematics but I was a stupid student and just finished secondary in 1989 and never learned this before. Now I came up like one of the best mathematician of my time to learn this, and you are right saying that after this video we will learn this things.I am so happy.Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.May God bless us all.
I can't imagine why I was having a hard time on this topic way back on my high school days, It seems easier now after watching this video. Thank you so much
I am 63 years old and have enrolled in a GED program. I have been out of school for 47 years. I have passed all me exams except math. You are by far the best at explaining algebra.
You are absolutely a great teacher! Your knowledge and wisdom speaks volume. I’m ecstatic as this was my first ever algebra lesson and everything ingrained in my mind so easily. Yes, simplicity is a key to understanding and thus a great aide to the memory. (EXPMA), I derived in memorizing a rule of thumb. By solving math problem first in parenthesis, exponent, x check by division, and + check by subtraction. I’m very grateful and inspired by your excellent video series!
Watching from London I can learn this simply as abc and teach my son when he got exam or start primary school as a thank you for popping in my channel I subscribe and hit likes too 😗😗😗
I was really surprised what I forgot and didn't know how to do even some of the basic arithmetic anymore like adding and subtracting mixed numbers. Now I'm going to watch every single one of these videos. Really good job with this.
YOU ARE THE BEST! YOU ARE SUCH A GREAT TEACHER. I am taking an algebra class in 4 days. I know nothing about algebra. However.... I followed this video so far, took notes did the problems with you, paused on some and did the equations correctly by myself then clicked back on and one after the other I got it right. Hey, did I say you are a great teacher. LOL thank you so much. I'm watching ALL of your videos and I subscribed and liked.
Thanks so much. I learn today that I never learned Algebra in such a simple way in high school. I am in early 80s, not too old to learn Math. You made it so easy. Thanks so much again.
(5+7)÷3×4 @ the 27:12 Mark. I got 1. You the parentheses 1st(5+7=12) but the multiplication goes next (3×4=12). Then you divide 12÷12=1. If I am wrong, please someone show me.
Multiplication and division are done at the same time from left to right. (5+7) = 12 >> 12 /3 x 4 >> 4 x 4 = 16. Multiplication and division are done at the same time became they are each other’s opposites, just like addition and subtraction are each other opposites. Just make sure you go from left to right.
I am so blessed to have stumbled on this video. Algebra has been a detested topic for me in mathematics but you just made it look so easy to me right now. Thank you so much
A teacher who can empathise with students and acknowledge that his subject is difficult but can break the subject down is a good teacher , like this teacher.
I wish I had a teacher like him. My knowledge of Algebra would have been so much better. Now at 57 I am watching this video to help my son in the basics of the subject.
You are excellent at explaining this, things I could never understand before! You would be a great teacher for students to have in school! I am over 60 and have always wanted to understand how algebra worked and your made it easy for me to understand. Really like keeping my brain active on the equations!
