03. General histology. Epithelial tissues: general properties 

In this lecture, the main properties of epithelia (the most phylogenetically ancient group of tissues, which play a huge role in ensuring the vital functions and serve as a source of development for many pathological processes, including tumor growth) are considered. The structure and functions of the main types of epithelial tissues under physiological conditions are described in detail, as well as the mechanisms of their regeneration and transformation under the influence of unfavorable factors from the external and internal environment.
