Got my order from Majestic Honda and in this video I only install the two pressure switches on this 2003 V6 Honda Accord. you can pause the video as I show the invoice with the part numbers on it. Mine were working fine… but I had just bought a car and was reading online and people said if they go bad they could ruin your transmission… so I went ahead and replaced them preemptively . Probably a waste of money But I was just trying to Make the car last as long as possible. Everything is Still going good. just did a 3rd drain and fill recently And I also did a video on changing the internal filter on the transmission.

Does this cause delay engagement to the shifter and gear-shifting??

I'm not 100% sure because when I changed my pressure switches it was purely preventive. My car was driving and shifting fine

Can you make a part two of a v6 Honda I’m trying to find out if my Honda transmission is bad or I have bad pressure switches that’s not sending enough fluid to the transmission and threw it in limp mode

@@hellsingformeinbrooklyn7888 sorry I don't know. I was kind of responding to both of your questions by saying that I changed mine out even when the car wasn't having any problems. Just based on online forum where people at 5 changing them early. they were no doubt old and when they go it would cause problem. So I probably wasted my money by changing them but it seemed like a good idea at the time. I'm certainly no transmission expert I hope you can figure it out

Mine 03 V6 is at 260000but shifts very harsh when entering highway clean the solenoid changed fluid helped but still experiencing hard shifting hoping the pressure switches are the issues

Yeah I'm not sure. I had only heard of the 3rd and 4th. I was wondering about the other gears. I hope you can figure it out!

Great question Dan. Right after getting the car and reading up on the transmission I went ahead and changed them out preemptively based on what I was reading on forums. Some people said they could go bad suddenly and that they would replace theirs every so many miles. I did not change them out as a result of a diagnosis or even anything specifically the transmission was doing. I guess I was trying to get ahead of possible point of failure on this older, high- mileage transmission. So it was possibly a waste of money but anyway car is doing well today at 213k and hopefully many more miles. Still need to get the time to do my third drain and fill with Amsoil ATF. @@ElogantFitness Sorry it has been a couple years since I was on any of those forums honestly simple Web searches Of things like issues with 03 accord V6 Would lead me to forums that would have helpful information. Wow sounds like you got A gem with only 67K! Was this a grandma car? If it's never had the timing belt and water pump done I would probably start there Since it's so old. Definitely keep up with all your fluid changes. Let me know how it all works out.

No actually I did not have any type of code scan done. This was totally preventive. I know, maybe a waste but I had heard how often they can go bad. You are right the correct way would be to diagnose the issue and only change a part when it is truly found to be bad. I am learning little by little and hope to acquire a decent code scanner with live data capability soon probably in the 150 to $200 range.

im having a hell of a time with this 03 v6 trans. 3rd? nope. 4th? nope. if im stopped it might slip out of first and im dead in the water. Could I get that itemized part list from you?

Certainly is possible. It sounds like you need help from someone with a high-level scan tool. I really am no expert, just a DIY guy and an independent Amsoil dealer. I really hope you can figure it out

No I don't sorry. You could check at Majestic Honda parts website and see if you can find it I like their site because it has the exploded parts diagrams so if you can figure out what part it is you can usually get a decent idea of its location on the vehicle.
