I wouldn't tear out the drywall, I would just attach a 2x10x 6 ft (or whatever is the length you need) with leg bolts, then you can just attach all of your reels to this 2x10. You can always paint the 2x10 to blend in and look a bit better than bare wood. Another idea would be to create a steel frame that you can attach to your studs and then use bolts to attach your reels to that. Just make the frame wide enough to attach it to several of your 2x6 wall studs. Also, I have to tell you that getting the notification of your latest video was a pleasant surprise. Regarding the paint color, I like the color that you call silver, whatever color it is, it looks good. It gives the look of an old and western building. Congratulations on your marriage.
