Yea he is by far the BEST to watch and VERY informative!!!!……..just had to bring my sons ‘67 mustang in to get the c4 rebuilt, i can build a car but i will NOT touch the transmission if it needs work
I apply some of the teardown techniques you've shown in my repair of fluid diaphragm pumps at work. Never know what you'll learn from someone even In a different line of work. Yall are awesome!
I cannot believe how amazing it is seeing good honest technicians making quite a career out of youtube. I have been watching this channel since it's infancy. I also suggested a friend whom was building 4l60e transmissions since they came out some tips and tricks I learned from your channel but he gets angry and tells me he's been building trannys his whole live but yet he does the same mistakes that I see you point out like putting check balls where they don't need to be and has no reverse, or major slippage in certain gears with all new built parts and gets frustrated and upset. I suggested he watch this channel but he wont and will always be learning the hard way about what he is doing wrong in his tranny builds.
Thank you for this. My old 97K 1500 had the exact same symptom. I had the shop install a GM reman because I didn’t have time to get it to you. I always wondered what the cause was. Thanks again for teaching us so much.
I always enjoy watching your videos. I wish that there was a shop like yours that has the knowledge and focus to fix what needs fixing and strengthen weak points out here in Phoenix instead of the parts changers that will replace a whole transmission because a detent fell out (Toyota 6 sp manual). I hope that your customers appreciate you!
I happened on to your channel a couple years ago, watching sporadically. Always interesting, you do a bang up job. Are you this proficient with all brands or are you GM only? 👍
I've watched all the videos and I like to fix everything but I still wouldn't remember to put more than 10% of the parts back in the automatic gearbox without photographing each part.
I have a Jeep wj with 42re it is flaring the 2-3 shift sometimes up shifts then back down then up again. Only 100k miles I’m going to change tranny fluid in it just cause it’s due but not burnt. I’m going to torque all the bands if necessary but I don’t think that’s the problem because when manually shifted it shifts great. I’ve already tried adjusting the tv cable and doesn’t make the flare shift go away. I’m thinking maybe gov pressure solenoid and sensor but don’t want to throw parts at something. Any help would be appreciated
