If you are using Coppeliasim v.4.3.0, using the setJointVelocity(clientID,'Pioneer_p3dx_leftMotor,sim.simx_opmode_blocking); wont' work. Replace "Pioneer_p3dx_leftMotor" with the path: "/Pioneer_p3dx_leftMotor"
Hi Sherine , I have the same problem. Usually with the LUA language there is "rmlmove" functions in which we can easily set the velocity of the joints or targets . It seem like they don't exist in matlab library. I would like to know if you find a solution for this problem ?

Hello Sir, First of all I would like to thank you for this wonderful video on V-REP. Its really useful for beginner like me. Sir I am new in robotics and related field. Currently I am working on Deep Neural Network for robotic motion control. My goal to control robot simulator implemented in V-REP through remote API by my DQN algorithm which I have implemented in Torch+LuaJit platform. I have implemented same scenario which you have explained in above video but instead of Matlab I have used Torch+LuaJit for robot control. Here I have successfully able to get detectedPoint (able to print them). robot control is also successfully done. But I am facing one problem I can able to received image by simxGetVisionSensorImage() but when I tried to display or save that image I got following error. qlua new.lua Connected to remote API server qlua: new.lua:42: attempt to call field 'save' (a nil value) stack traceback: [C]: in function 'save' new.lua:42: in main chunk Kindly help me out. Note: always make sure you use the corresponding remoteApi library (i.e. 32bit Matlab will not work with 64bit remoteApi, and vice-versa) Im taking this error. Both Matlab and remoteApi 64bit. I dont understand why this error apperars. Is anyone know how to fix this? Please help me.

Thank you very much, this is a brilliant video...very very helpful....but I wanted to ask how would you get a joint to rotate by a certain amount smoothly? I tried using the SetTargetPosition function but it just snaps to that position without gradually reaching it....any suggestions? I also cant seem to actuate two joints at one time using the setTargetPosition.

Hi Ryad, I'm working with V-rep with Hokuyo URG 04LX laser scanner, that scanner is supported by official, but recently I found there is no Matlab API remote function with this sensor. Have you made any progress with this problem? Looking forward to your reply.
