I wanted to share this repair with you because this was my first time replacing a battery terminal that had a fuse. Also, the issue my son had with the his car just dying while he was driving. I thought it might have been the battery, but the symptoms didn't match up to a bad battery.

I got a 06 an the same thing happened to me, I ordered a main fuse an fixed it right up!! Hope your all well too!! 😊

I had the same problem so I took that ome off put it straight to the positive terminal and started up a month later now it won’t start again

Grace and peace brother quick question n I use a battery from a 2009 Jeep Commander to place into a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant interchangeablely or are Galant batteries exclusive?

Not sure. You will have to check with a professional battery installer. It's not the kind of vehicle the battery came out of that matters. It's the type, size, CCA (cold cranking amps) and location of the battery post terminals that matter.

It depends on what you mean by stuck. Is it rounded off, bent, or corroded?

Sorry for the late reply. I didn't re-use the old part because of the acid from the battery. Wasn't sure if the original part was damaged.

Sorry, I don't remember. My son traded it in for a newer car, so I can't verify it. Do a Google search or check with the dealer for the size battery you'll need.

where can I get the replacement part for the positive side with that fuse. I replaced mine with useing that and now the aint starting lol help me out, please

Would this change the computer chip for the key 🔑 to work? And will this work on a 2003

I don't think it would effect the chip in the ignition key, since it's just a fuse. Not sure if this will work on a 2003 model.

Does the engine turn over? If not, check the battery for 12.7 volts and the batter connections.

Hum, that's a tuff one to diagnose without seeing what's happening. Any trouble codes? Truthfully, I can think of a few things that could be the issue. Best to take to a mechanic to figure out.
