We bought a ‪@WhiteDuckOutdoors‬ 20' Avalon Bell hot Tent for our‪@Hipcamp‬ Glamping site. In this video we assemble the tent, put in flooring, a wood burning stove, and set up our off grid glamping site for people to come and stay.

We have been wanting to create a glamping site for a while now. We really want to be able to make our land available to more than just us. We are using the land to live off of, but we really want people to be able to enjoy the land, spend time in nature, spend time with God, and generally just escape the crazy world we live in for a little bit.
We spent a good amount of time, energy, and money on making this a nice place to stay, from putting in a queen sized bed, flooring, to installing a ‪@northwoodsfabricationllc‬ wood burning stove to keep the tent warm on cool nights. Next we'll be installing a solar system to provide power to the tent. This off grid hot tent is amazing, and we hope you enjoy it.

You did an amazing job. I would have built a platform to keep it off the ground so when it rain it won't get flooded.

It's not in a flood zone fortunately. It's higher than its surroundings. However I definitely plan on building a platform at some time.

That's a great question. @whiteduckoutdoors might be able to answer that. They have a chat feature on their website. And they're usually very responsive. We usually don't get a lot of snow out here in Tennessee. Snow load isn't something we usually think too much about.

@DuckRiverHomestead 2 more questions any issues with bugs, getting in overtime and any issues with mold or mildew as I have seen a few others talk about with this tent. I'm looking for a tent I can leave set up for 5 to 6 months during the camping season in the mountains of Virginia.

@@CapCityDCI keep a home bug sprayer that I spray around the edges and seams about once a month. I did have stink bugs get in and congregate at the top but that’s cause campers left the bottom of the door open for a week. I vacuumed them out and haven’t had any issues since. To help prevent mold buildup I keep the front screens open and about 4 or 5 of the windows about half open. We haven’t had any mold issues. I sort of anticipated mold issues, but hadn’t heard of these tents having issues. I just know that ventilation is REALLY important.

i am interested in knowing what floor you use under your wood stove.? that looks like what i need for ours or did you make it? Love the vinyl floor idea for your bell tent. I have looked at rugs for ours and also patio locking tiles but they both are very pricey and i would hate to carry everything around when going camping. we have a 16' bell tent from white duck as well. amazing quality of a tent we love it.

I got the fireplace pad from tractor supply. this is the time of year to buy them. It's a foam pad covered in metal. It works great.

How do you keep the bears out? Do you use an electric fence?

We don't have bears in our area. We do use an electric fence for our pigs though.

Placing the canvass directly pn the ground, and placing flooring over it, does it lend to any degrade of the canvassed flooring beneath?

It's not canvas on the ground. It's a plastic. We'll find out the long term effects. I plan on putting this on a deck at some point.

Can you explain the flooring and the tiles under the fireplace. I have a Teton 5m & 6m tents both with camp chef cylinder stoves

The flooring is 1st layer Advantech on 1" thick runners (wood decking) 2nd layer is a waterproof laminate. Under the stove is a wood stove pad I got from Tractor Supply: www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/imperial-type-2-stove-board-36-in-x-52-in-slate
