It's understandable that you returned to this beautiful part of the Lake District after 25 years, Patrick. A much more peaceful area with gorgeous scenery around the Loweswater lake, contrasting with the mountains, which seem a lot more moderate than some of them in different parts. The wooded seem fantastic to walk through. Many thanks for the presentation of this relaxing video, Patrick.

I always say the lake District is the most beautiful place in the UK, so it's always a treat for me whenever I return. Loweswater was one of the quieter lakes if I recall correctly, but just as pleasant as other lakes. Thanks as always Ffranc for watching and commenting 👍

Lovely movie as per usual. I am a real sucker for a pretty waterfall so thanks for showing us Spout Force! Brilliant work Patrick. Absolutely AWESOME music score Patrick, this has to be one of your very best in my opinion.

So glad you loved the music score Jeff, I'm quite fond of this one actually. Spout Force was pretty cool wasn't it for a waterfall I couldn't get close to to get a decent shot, so pleased it looked good. Thanks Jeff 👍

So good they named a pint after it ! I'm sure you said in an earlier film that one of your favourite beers was a Loweswater Gold at your favourite Keswick pub,the Dog and Gun,which is mine too btw. What a gorgeous walk, exactly my kind of walk,I'v been to Keswick many times but never been here,a really gentle low level walk unlike many that involve scrambling and a lot of effort, and even danger, after a bad experience on Foule Crag at the end of Sharp Edge going up Blencathra I promised never again to do a walk that involved using my hands,no scrambling at all from then on just gentle beautiful and thoroughly enjoyable walks like this, love the tranquility of it too, some of the walks in the area, like Cat Bells they queue like a supermarket queue to negotiate parts of it. This was a perfect walk, thanks Patrick for introducing us to it,and for sharing it with us. You're a star. Pete.

Yes I indeed said in the preceding film that I liked Loweswater Gold in the Dog and Gun, and being a CAMRA member I got a slight discount in that pub too. This was nice to film as I wanted to shoot Spout Force and then do the gentle stroll around Loweswater lake. At the end of the film I actually did enjoy a pint as you could see, but most of the time I never do after a day's filming, even though I might say in the film ""I'm off for a quick drink now!" Cheers, Patrick :-)

What a superb location , i love those hills in the background Lee would have had to stop me climbing them , were thinking of doing a lakes tour next year , basing ourselves in windermere ,then setting off each day , to a different location , so that will hopefully be something to look forward too mate ...Weve noticed that its nice to go walking in the country and people always seem so nice when you pass , weve never met anyone whos looked miserable or not spoken , it must be the outdoors or fresh air... So thanks again Patrick , yet another great film ....Frank and Lee ...

Windermere would make a good base for you mate as you can get there by train and there are some superb locations to get to from there. There were buses from Windermere to Ambleside and Keswick too. I've always found it quite amusing really as when you pass people in the street they just ignore you, but when you see them out on a walk they often say hello. I wonder why the rules change because of where they are?! Thanks for watching Frank and Lee. Cheers, Patrick :-)

It's a lovely pub. I would have dined there myself during my visit, but I was too early unfortunately. One to revisit another time :-)

That was a fabulous look at an area of the Lakes that I am completely unfamiliar with and as it is quieter than the more touristy bits it will definitely be on my radar as I much prefer peace and quiet when I am out walking. Most of the walks I do around North Yorkshire where I live I barely see a soul which suits me fine. I really enjoyed seeing Spout Force and Loweswater Lake looked delightful. How long does it take to circumnavigate the lake? Great work as ever Patrick and you got a pint in at the end too!!

Yes got that pint at the end! I wouldn't imagine it takes very long to walk around Loweswater lake as it's quite gentle, but I can't say for sure how long because, as i was filming it all, it took me that much longer to do the walk than would be the norm. Thanks for watching 👍

Lovely area devastated by too many sheep and to much forestry. Re-wild now.
