Hi Patr[ck, By co-incidence I have just returned from a week on the Pembrokeshire coast, very enjoyable. The Northumberland coast is wonderful too, so plenty to look forward to in the future. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us this year. I agree with your comments about Premier Inns, they are not fancy, but have everything you need at a reasonable price.

Premier Inns are great, better than some hotels or B&Bs I've stayed in. At least you always know what you're going to get with Premier Inns as they are all the same wherever they are. All the best 👍

Cheers Rachel. This is the way I've been planning filming my walks for many years now, and I really enjoy the planning as much as getting out there. Thanks for the update Patrick. After your weekly uploads for a month, i didn't expect one for a while. It's not exactly filming weather in winter nor very enjoyable to be out in it. You do well for the output you get during the better months. Looking forward to watching your future travels. You would think with it being the off season that prices would drop. Sadly some are too expensive to visit all year. Best of luck on your walks.
I certainly haven't been out filming this year as yet because, as you say, the weather has not been the best. Hopefully it will improve by the time I start filming again in mid March, so fingers crossed. I always look for deals when booking accommation, so I was glad to find a few for where I shall end up going this year. Thanks for all your support Kelly, all the best 👍

Very exciting! Last year I stayed mostly in YHA accommodation and will probably do the same this year... I really like the cost effectiveness of taking food... Your plans sound great but make sure you get to have a break without the camera and pressure to film... All the best Patrick! 👍 🙂
Thanks Nathan. Yes I find it exciting spending my time planning where I'm going and staying as much as I do actually going out there to film. I'll be seeing how things go this year and I've planned to have some shorter days of filming so that I'm not putting that pressure on myself. All the best to you 👍

I really enjoy all the planning as much as actually getting out there to film. I also think that I've been more on a roll lately with film making, so despite working full time and having other things to do in my spare time, I find I've managed to work quite quickly on any new project. Hi Patrick. Your not the only RU-vidr I watch who has the same problem. A channel I watch in Australia said the same thing very recently, the channel is growing demands more time and money. Don't worry, we enjoy your channel and watch it as they arrive. Cheers from New Zealand.

Nice one Patrick. I have a few pkanned locally. The Gritstone trail may 21st & 22nd. And the Limestone way. 3 days but as if yet no specific date. A charity walk in March for Ashgate Hospice 17 miles along the High Peak Trail. Other than them i just tend to wing it. Awaiting your next vlog 👌

Hi Patrick. I can understand your concerns about the commitments to regular channel uploads, and meeting expectations. It can be quite challenging balancing time and the devotion to what's involved in film productions. I think you're more organised than we are, but as you say working as well makes a difference.p.s. (Premier Inns are also popular with us.)

I know many people do appreciate what is involved in film making, as you do, but I just like to occasionally politely remind people that it does take time and cost money. I enjoy it all though, and the planning is as much a part of the enjoyment as going out there to do the filming. Glad you like Premier Inns too 👍😀
Patrick. Instead of booking places that are expensive would you not consider buying yourself a van and do a camper conversion or buy one already converted..this way your not limited to where u can go and film. Maybe worth a look for your travels.
Thanks for the idea, but I don't fancy a van to be honest. I do like serviced accommodation, but I always look for the cheaper deals where possible, which I've managed to get for where I'm going this year. It's not so much that I'm limited to where I can go, it's more that I have a budget of what I am willing to pay for accommodation. In many ways it makes things more interesting for me as this time next year I might find good deals to stay in other places I'd like to go. All the best 👍
Unfortunately, with the channel growing continuously. You will continue to get requests/questions from viewers. (Even if they have been addressed before) Eventually you will get used to it Patrick! I’m visiting the Peak District for the very first time next week and I’m very much looking forward to it.

Really enjoy your walk videos Patrick and brilliant you share them! 👍 I get why you would want to keep costs low for a hobby especially in the current financial climate but I am just wondering if you did some gear reviews or endorsements you would surely attract more viewers and grow your channel and thereby provide yourself with a bit of extra cash? 🤔
Glad you enjoyed them, thanks for the kind words. Gear reviews is not something I've ever seen myself doing to be honest. However, people do have the non obligitory option to "buy me a coffee" (Ko-fi) and/or download my music tracks (Bandcamp) for a small fee. Thanks for the idea all the same 👍
