I feel like there are so many small changes in Waveform 11 that it's making these older tutorials useless. Almost every step so far either doesn't work or looks different/missing on the newer version. Really frustrating
This doesn't work in Xubuntu, Waveform fails to drag clips from one window to another. I am assuming it is due to insufficient teseting in "lesser" operating systems. Additionally, the waveform window "walks" up the screen constantly until it completely gone if you don't keep moving it back down or set it to maximize/fullscreen. Furthermore, this video should be updated for 12, as it is now "Microsampler" and besides there is the drum sampler(s) which eliminate the need to use it anyway. I know this is for Waveform 9, I only say this because Waveform 12 refers to these videos specifically and probably shouldn't. I am also unsure if the problems I have encountered are completely unique to Xubuntu, or if they are across Linux entirely. I have verified the problem still exists in Enlightenment, XFCE, etc (but not in i3, or other "dummy mode" window managers). I can also verify I didn't see these problems in Win10, though I didn't check other Windows versions. I'd report the issue but I never get any response when I submit Linux bugs to multi-platformed software.
You can increase the number of beats in the pattern while you are editing it. For eighth note triplets, do 12 steps, 1/3 beat. For sixteenth note triplets, do 24 steps, 1/6 beat
I tried following the video with Tracktion Waveform 9. Unless I"m mistaken, it looks as if the samples used for the Multi-Sampler has to remain somewhere in the project on a separate track. When I deleted those samples from the timeline after dragging them to the M-sampler, a triangle appeared stating something about silent audio.
I've got the program open now and this video doesn't make a goddamn bit of sense. I realize there are differences between versions but this video simply doesn't demonstrate 'easy step sequencing' and I've watched it three times.
