It's very useful to parents too.priceless explanation about adenoids. My kid is suffering from adenoids. She is 2.5 yrs and 9.5 kg. Now she is struggling with sleepless nights and not eating properly and always thick fluid running from nose. Dr. suggest to do surgical procedure, but we are very nervous due to age and weight factor. Is surgical procedure complicated and painful? Dr. Currently as a treatment, taking nasil spray (momeflo,. moutelukast for past 4 months) moutelukast )

if absolute indication is there, better go with surgery. It is not that much painful or complicated , done routinely. Dnt worry. It is a matter of a day or two

Dear doctor. My grandson aged six years is advised for adenoid surgery. I am told by sources that after surgery voice change and no taste of food and smell will be. Can we do surgery or with any medicine can we cure. If adenoid not removed he will have ear pain teeth problem and even facial problem. Please advise

Adenoidectomy is a surgery which is done routinely for problems not received by medicines and caused by enlarged adenoids. It may cause voice problem but it is temporary in post-op period.
