A bell test in a private school. Although not seen, the control panel is a Siemens Cerberus Pro FC922. My colleague checks floors 4 & 3 and I check floors 2 & 1. The horn/strobes are Siemens U-MH-MCSs and the remote strobes are Siemens U-MCSs. The hallways are filled with furniture because school is out for the summer and the custodial staff are waxing the floors in some of the areas.

Oh I know those. Siemens & Cerberus Pyrotronics has those type of horn strobes. The ones with those blue chips in the horns sound like that.

Very cool! These U-MHTs are not common at all! Interesting choice that they chose continuous.

I think those are actually U-MH-MCS horn/strobes. If I read documentation correctly for them, U-MHTs were designed as temporal-only, while U-MH devices were continuous-only or coded by a NAC.

Kids in school are going to hate that sound for sure as it sounds like Tinnitus. Signals need to be replaced to Siemens rebranded Wheelock LED Eluxa horn strobes doing code-3

I could listen to fire alarms all day and be happy, but dang are those things annoying as heck

Siemens U-MHTs are rare. Surprised to see them installed in a building like this.

Lemme guess, did the current Cerberus pro panel replace an mxl by any chance?

@@achannelwithnopurpose1977 Quite possibly; there are HFP-11 smokes installed in a few places still.

Jesus that must be murder for your & everyone else's ears: who's genius idea was it to use U-MHTs instead of normal U-MMTs? (set on what appear to be _continuous_ no less (are they?) At least U-MMTs have somewhat of a gentler sound as an option! Still, nice to see a pre-Wheelock Siemens system still going strong (except for the panel of course). Is that a security keypad I hear beeping around 2:27?

@@TheCarson116 Yes, it's the security system which doubles as the fire alarm communicator.

@weatherdan882002
@weatherdan882002 2 месяца назад
@@rfbalagam7950 They are not multi-tone; they are U-MHT-MCSs, which is a piezo horn/strobe.

@@rfbalagam7950 pretty much. UMMT is multi-tone, while UMHT is piezo (as seen in the video). Unsure if these can do code 3, but in a U-MHT, if you look closely into the horn grille, you will see some blue
