I am in awe of my God. Last night I was asking where is the teacher that teaches this in love and this morning I am listening to him. I went through this being saved in an emotionalism teaching church. I went through depression and felt less loved by God. God taught me better over the years. How I wish I had someone give me this truth years ago in this fashion. So many pastors are aggressive and condescending in teaching this. They are so abrasive and angry (I do understand the anger) but when you are lost and hurt you need someone to just use scripture not sarcasm that abrasive teaching doesn't open ears. Thank you. I will be sharing this with love ones who are caught in the health and wealth. I hope they will experience the freedom of truth.
It's interesting to me to see people say he's wrong with this teaching. He's not saying that it's not possible at all, he's saying it's not a guarantee that you're going to be healthy and wealthy. The very people who walked with Christ were murdered and put in prison... What in the world makes you think you're going to get an easy life with no troubles. That's ridiculous. The original New Testament uses the Greek word "sozo" which means to be made whole, and it covers forgiveness, deliverance, and healing. Healing ought to be normal, because in Mark 15:18, Jesus talked about the signs that will follow those who believe, and the laying of hands for healing is included. What does 1 John 4:17 mean: "As Jesus is, so are we in this world?" (Reinforced by John 14:12 "He that believes in me will do the works that I do; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father") Finally, what do I do with all the testimonies today of people instantly getting healed by believing?
Andrew is saying all good health and weath are not guarantee. Jesus even told peter how he was going to die. That would hv messed me up!!...but peter knew he was following is masters footsteps. And so we too must suffer and die in the flesh.
I do not buy into the health and wealth gospel, but people who do constantly quote Matthew 8:17. They then tie that verse in with those in 1 Peter 2:24 and Isaiah 53:4-5. I wish Andrew would have addressed these passages in this teaching.

Americans, particularly, seem to struggle with the idea that what they've been brought up with is a uniquely modern and all-American gospel - which is ANOTHER gospel. How would Jesus, Paul, Peter, John define health and wealth? It seems to me health and wealth would be linked to being formed in the image of Christ, to become like Him. Whereas I don’t say that God is glad when we suffer, I do know the greatest growth, understanding and dependence on God comes from experiencing the “fellowship of his suffering”. In this way we also experience his great victory in us, even our faith, and know him more deeply.

I agree that healing is not part of salvation. thanks for this message. I have experienced many healings of blindness, paralysis, heart defects etc through prayer. most in missions fields or when i share gospel. but also often, nothing happens. I think so: what i can do is love peoples and pray for them. whether they are healed or not is not up to me. You can do this healing-stuff also relaxed. Help us please with these questions: - how you interpret Luke 10? healing was a part of the desciple-job. is it also today still so? - what explanation is about mark 16? hope you understand my bumpy englisch? kind regards from switzerland & blessing to you!
Let all of us who have been suffering from serious doubts in the validity of their status before God following the false conclusion that they can't be believers because they aren't healed cheer up: It's just a variation of an old jingle from Mark 15:31,32, so don't fall for it. Remember, most believers live in condemnation. To say that a good Father, that gave his own blood did not make provision, for health and wealth is ludicrous. I ask you all would you provide the best health, and provide wealth for your own human child? I think so! So how much your heavenly father!

The argument is not about logic, it is about what the Bible teaches versus what men are teaching. Our realities and scripture show that what the health and wealth preachers are teaching is not true. God does heal but that was not the primary purpose for which Christ died and rose again. He died to set free from sin and heal us of our soul's diseases (Mat 1:21). Salvation does not immune us from the physical troubles of this life. There is no Christian anywhere in the world that are the richest and the most healthy. If you are sick or poor, it doesn't mean God is angry with you.

Thanks for clarifying that most of us are not billionaires and a small percentage ( and I question that any ) are walking in what is sometimes called " devine health ". I believe that healing is in " the atonement " but is referred to in God's Word as a " firstfruit " which would infer healing and health are not yet completly fullfilled until we recieve our immortal , incorruptable bodies in the future. Nevertheless I will continue to pray for the sick in obiedience to God's commission ( including myself when neccesary ) but from a place of freedom to trust God for the results and not carry the responsibiity for supplying God's healing power or recieving it ! It's too big of a load for me to carry on my shoulders . God's shoulders are much bigger ! I refuse to allow guilt or condemnation to have space in my head ! Godspeed

I don't necessarily believe in the Prosperity Gospel. But this argument, is terrible! Experience of forgiveness is by faith. Experience in health is supposed to be by faith, that's what Prosperity Gospel teaches. By faith, just like forgiveness, just like our salvation, by faith.
