found out i had a bad ground going towards the fuel pump ..so i hook a wire straight from the ground of the pump to the chassis of the car and got it .it starts right away good luck to all of you and i'm sorry for my cursing
That is not a crank sensor, it is a cam sensor. The crank sensor is on the lower rear side of the engine (that is where the crank is located), on the bottom of the transverse engine. BTW, the camshafts are located on the top of the engine.
Even though you're kind of a turkey about it I still appreciate your comment. My ECU was throwing a code for crank position sensor but now I'm going to try The cam position sensor.

My 2007 HHR is cracking over but no start and code came back P0016 crankshaft position intake camshaft position not plausible so I'm hopeful it's the exact same thing I will be replacing it and respond back I appreciate you uploading this.
For those who drive a Chevy HHR on this video the guy said he change his crankshaft sensor is Ashley Call cam shaft sensor I change the cam shaft sensor my car started up with no problem now so if y’all having problems with your car starting up change the cam shaft sensor first
U know what the last thing I did on my car ,I send a hot wire the I hook it up on a fuse straight to the fuel pump main wire so it give it more power I guess the one originally from the pump worn out and corrode it so ones I did that my car start at the very first try so good luck buddy
I have a hhr 2008 no start no crank I check the fuse and the starter. The scanner saying ou 100 so that mean no communication brand new battery I don't know what the problem is
Yes this helped. But I replaced the Crank shaft position sensor and still did the same thing. It will turn over but no start. I hooked up ground to starter, didnt work. Check all fuses and got starter and battery test- all good! I am going to try the ground to the fuel pump and then if that and test the Camshaft sensor to see if I can get it to work. electrical issue ssuck!!
ETHER ground thge fuel pump better or run a straigh cablefrom the power cord of the fuel pump to the battery and itr should start .......thr proiblem is the connection from the [power cord to the battery
True actually it was a hot wire going from my fuel pump to the fuse box so I ran the wire all the way down there and replace it ...so finally got it going . But the car it's gone now lol
Mechanic just said our fuel pump needs replaced, is $850 reasonable? I feel like there should be a disclaimer on those HHRs that you need to be a mechanic before purchasing one. Just seems to be a money dump after only 70,000 miles.
Aye bro I just bought a Hhr 2006 and had to do a engine swap and bought a ecotec engine and now the car don’t start it makes a the loud noise of trying to start but it don’t want to turn over Dm me and I’ll send u a video
I'm sorry to reply so late well first check and see if your are getting any spark on the car and fuel , if you dont check for any grounds the may need and the other thing the could be possible will be the crankshaft sensor Not matching the car PCM hope it help you good luck
@Gary Douglas glad you got it fix ,and i think this cars got a problem with the ground because i hookup a ground wire straight to the pump and ground it to the chassis of the car after oi did that it starts right up with no problem ,that also one thing i forgot to add on the video well good luck
