Comparison video showing what my 07 impreza 2.5i wagon sounded like with just UEL, cats, and 2.5inch piping, and a 3.5inch tip, and after, with UEL, cats, 12 inch Cherry Bomb Glasspack and flexpipe, and changed to a bigger tip.
If you don't want it too loud, and just a bit of rumble, do an unequal length header and leave the stock cats and resonator. Maybe just change the muffler to an aftermarket muffler for some tone
Dude in my opinion it sounded better with out the glasspipe. To me the glasspipe toned it down a little bit & made it sound more controlled. When the rpm’s drop you can hear a noticeable difference.
Yea I did like it without the glasspack more around town, but on the highways it had a pretty constant drone thats basically gone now. That and in PA, I had to have some form of a muffler to pass inspection, so I got the smallest glasspack I could lol
You get that subi rumble from a UEL header, that gives it the boxer sound, but if you have an 06 or newer, you have a little more involved fitting an unequal length header to an N/A subi. I have another video explaining what's involved making one fit and still be legal
UEL header, 2.5inch piping and a very small glasspack/resonator lol. I have newer videos where I cut the second cat out too. And now I’m gonna be getting the exhaust redone with a race bullet muffler and 3 inch pipe 😂
Yea adding the glasspack right after the cats, then a small flex pipe piece really helped with the tone and almost no drone either. The 2.5inch mandrel bent pipe was like 150 at an exhaust shop I think
@@Diamond-vt3vq Well you're gonna have the same issues as I did the, since 06 and later had the manifolds with the cats in them, I used a UEL header meant for 97-05 n/a subaru, and used the cat section from an 04 impreza to still pass emissions in PA. I had to extend the wiring on my rear o2 sensor to make it work. I explain how i did it in this video when I did the UEL swap ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-75zwqy4BZAk.html
