It's always inspiring to hear Joe's adventures! I've missed talking to him with local shows being canceled.

Joe and Hal I agree when there is tracking snow you don’t still hunt you move and hunt for a buck track. But when there is no snow which I know Joe doesn’t hunt unless there is snow. If you have the time to hunt without snow because the longer your in the woods the better yours chances are at getting a buck. I use the 3 step then level rule . I hunt the spots where there are big time sign from previous year of hunting. Especially near thick water bogs where they feel safe. The 3 step then stop works awesome sound like a deer. I walk up a buck during 2020 season with in 30 yds laying in his bed. I heard him get up but didn’t hear him run . Instantly I grunted and he answered back. Keep in mind this buck wasn’t anymore than 40 yds at any given time . I never saw him until he came charging. I swear I could of reached out and touch him. I managed to get three shots off I drew blood and hair but not enough to kill him. But anyway what I am trying to say don’t stop hunting hard just because there isn’t snow on the ground. Awesome stories .

Im like Hal. I remember Sunday Sabath no businesses were open on Sunday No hunting on Sunday. It was church and family day. Now I understand Pennsylvania has gave hunters some Sunday hunting and young hunters more opportunity to harvest a deer. Last time hunting in Pa. for me was 2011 and I left a buck walk because of their stupid 3 point rule which is stupid . They only made it because of the hunters crying to them about the fact there were NO BIG BUCKS. I never desired to eat antlers even after boiling them for 10 hours. Venison steak is a lot better on my plate.🇺🇸✌🏻😎

How come you guys always drag out deer? Why not cut them up and pack them out as I do in Pennsylvania?

The crowning achievement in most of New England is a 200 pound buck and it must be weighed on certified scales as a whole and fully dressed in order to get a big buck patch. Personally, I love the drag; whether it be 200 yards or 3 miles.

@@tylerdorr1509 Is that a state requirement to have it checked in and weighed? Or did that start as a crowning achievement a long time ago?

@@johnmcmahon1196 yes sir. You must bring it to a tagging station and have it weighed on state certified scales. If it exceeds 200 pounds fully dressed, you can send in for a big buck patch if you choose to do so.
