I immigrated to USA in 1998, finally realizing in my lifetime Pakistan’s System cannot change! So I decided to move and live my life in peace. I miss Pakistan, but life is short and One has to be SELFISH otherwise the short life can become abrupt! I am the same age as you I passed out of kakul and had a bright Army Career ahead. but I made a decision to live here because this system is already developed and I don’t have to experience growing pains. I worked odd jobs and now have my business. A lot of my friends planning to go back to Pakistan some day or get buried in Pakistan. I told my kids to buried me here, this is my country now, this land gave me safety security and sense of pride. I proudly raised my kids here! I made an honest living here. How can I be disloyal to my new land? I’m proud to say I am proud to be An American 🇺🇸!
Which was your course? I'm from 87th. Have similar thoughts, but when I weigh, I simply cannot draw the line. Which is that factor that made you leave? Was it a good decision? I'm 50, should I take the leap? Will that new society acceot me? So many questions... I'm sending my sons away. They are studying currently...

Trust me, I am a 23 years old youngster and go through the exact same thoughts. This country is only good for the riches and elites. If you are born poor, your life is not worth more than a few thousand rupees, sometimes not even that.
These rich and elite people of Pakistan will dwell in hell brother. You wont. Allah will reward us all in the hereafter who were deprived of worldly pleasures. Glad tidings for you!
@@braveheart8318 You are absolutely spot on! This is close to the most ideal reply I wanted from somebody. But the question remains my friend, even in this very era that we chanted for so passionately a few years ago. Just what can change this stubborn elite bureaucratic system of ours that would stop working when it would want to? Do these government officers have no KPIs, any hiring and firing policy in case they don't achieve their targets? Something needs to be done is what you said and rightly so, but precisely what? Just what can you and I do to bring about this change you speak of? Answer is NOTHING! If you can, leave this fucking country and feed your family in a proactive + law abiding + open minded society like Europe or North America. And if you cannot and you're poor and senile like me, leave it on Allah and dream about paradise promised to every Muslim (except those who've committed cardinal sins which are again abundantly done by my fellow Pakistanis). So Pakistan Zindabad! But Pakistanis fuckabad!
The problem of our country is capitalism, some group of people decides our life and our future and we are not aware with it. جسکی لاٹھی، اسکی بھینس کا کانون ہے. Individual who belongs to middle class family his hands are tied. And have no right to live with dignity and freedom.

Pakistan is a blessing sir, with all due respect, but there are serious problems like corruption and law and order, but Pakistan needs good educated people like u Sir, there are many honest people still in Pakistan trying to make a difference.

Aashir honestly i never fully realised what it's like to live a life as a minority in third world until i got to settle in another third world country where i experienced life as a minority....... so yes you are right wherever a person lives , it is very important to have feelings of equality, freedom and security...... This is one of the main reason many people decided to immigrate to have better future for their kids..... I wish if you could come back to Pakistan ,we all still love and miss your presence there. You are still an asset for the Pakistani nation...❤❤❤❤
Mr. Ashir, I went through the same thought process (different events but with similar themes) before I decided to migrate back in 2006/2007. I was well-settled in my job (IT sector) and was doing well but then a number of events happened one after the other which pushed me to call it a day. I did it for my children (and not economical reasons) as I couldn't even think of leaving them to face the same 20/25 years down the road. I am happy I made that decision back in 2007. You and I are not alone to have gone through this. But also let me confess: I still love Pakistan and miss it every single day.
Unpredictable? My friend that is a compliment for our cricket team. Our cricketing think tanks position this as a key selling point, as if its something to be so proud of. So please don't use the term "unpredictable" for a plague of a society which is ours. My advice - Just do not have children for as long as you are living in Pakistan, its that simple! You wouldn't want another "you" coming into the hell you dwell in already. And I'm a hell dweller too like you, so no offense.

I really don't agree with your "maddrassa" stance. Time has changed. What people think about a madrassa is totally different from what a madrassa actually is, Many People think false about madrassas cz those people have never visited a madrassa or got education their in their entire life. They only hear false and say what they hear. Madrassas teach "ISLAM" and Islam teaches tolerance. Madrassa students are the most honest and fair people in the society. You'll never see any one cheating in Madrassa in exam (Even madrassa study is more tough than the school study) if you go check any madrassa. You'll never see any madrassa student abusing.... People think that the madrassa students are illetrate, cz they can't speak english and they don't wear jeans, etc... The reality is that these students speak better urdu that any CSS passed officer, Politician, and Others. The reality is that these students have actually hold the pakistani culture, thats why they wear kurtaz thats why they speak urdu. These students don't like the slavery of the angrez, we have our own culture. Have you heard about "Baitussalam talagang" "Mahad al faqir jhang" "Jamia Binora international" "Jamia Ashrafia Lahore" "Jamia tur Rarsheed karachi" "Al burhan institute ISB" and many more madrassas?? You'll see students and teachers their who are Doctors and Engineers. Madrassas now also teach science and islam (Manners, Tolerance) as well. Please now time has changed, Now Don't think that madrassas teach intolerance.

Felt your anguish, which I can understand. That you spelled out your reasons in this episode makes it an important narrative as in the last one you had only mentioned the reason that your brothers and sister had migrated. Never for a second I or anyone who knows Pakistani society can discount your fears as a Christian living there. As a Pakistani, I feel deeply ashamed and sad that minorities would have to undergo such apprehensions. Even as a Muslim, I shudder to think how extremists and misguided would treat me if I am caught in an awkward situation of misunderstanding. I fully respect your decision and wish you and your family the very best. Not that it matters to you but I have a completely different take, and it is regardless of what religion I belong to as a Pakistani citizen. Its simple. In almost all situations in life, there are impediments and negatives. And simultaneously, there are positives and credible reasons to have faith in future. Depends what we choose to focus on. How many people in Pakistan are blessed with the facilities and environment to attend IBA, realize their ambitions as becoming TV artists, become civil service officers and enjoy high social status. Like I said before, you underestimated yourself in your decision, I think. And as pretentious as it may appear, you overestimated the impediments. Even in the U.S. with all its facilities and positives, Kennedy had to advise that ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country. Anyhow, you made your choice. I am putting this out more for those impressionable minds that tend to decide things by looking at half the picture. I am not even delving into ground realities and obstacles that many Pakistani immigrants face in the West. Although related but a wide and deep subject in itself.
Don't think that because of Christian all this happened to u police is cruel and corrupt they do with every one in Pakistan i know some victims, incident sahiwall is one example 😭😭😭😭
But I have seen in my city a Christian friend of mine young guy was murdered for a fight that started in cricket ground and things got exaggerated and my Muslim friends trapped Christian family into a blasphemy case and later killed the guy. Totally religion used as a weapon.

Dear Sir, though there are so many reasons for immigration / migration e.g economy, unemployment, desperaty, uncertainty, lust of wealth and power etc. however, the most powerful factors, in my opinion, are injustice, failure of evolving merit oriented systems, lack of conciousness and confrontation with wisdom. So, who think positive and want to improve the things in a befitting manner, they are taken to the task in one pretext or the other. They can't find the way to fit in the situation so, in order to save their skin and conciousness, try to flee away for ever with deep sorrow and sympathy with the mother land.
