I went through Hurricane Katrina in 2005 in Biloxi - Gulfport, Mississippi and I also went through Hurricane Camille in 1969 as a young Mother. I hope I will never have to go through another Hurricane in my lifetime as strong as Hurricane Camille was.

Amen, I remembered as well. After Sandy I was left devastated with nothing. But of course our governor did not start preparing us 10 days ahead of time. And the storm took a terrible and nasty left turn. New Jersey and New York had no idea it was going to do that. I lost friends and family members I am praying for anyone in the path of this horrific storm I'm so sorry to see all of this Devastation it makes me sick

@@Automedon2 honestly, if you're a renter you shouldn't have that large of a loss if any. You can pack 90% of your things into your car and leave. Property damage isn't your problem. Yes, you have to find a new spot and you'll lose large pieces of furniture, but overall if you actually listen to the news and evacuate when told you won't have many losses.

Like there already isn't a supply and housing shortage. Shingles have been difficult for new builders to get, let alone now all of these roofs will need shingles. A shame America doesn't produce shingles any more. When the bugs and disease multiple in the next few weeks it's going to be worse.

Katrina did the same thing on the MS gulf coast. With winds of 155 mph and 190 mph gusts this is the result. Not to mention tornadoes.
