This is a look at a General Magic DataRover 840F I have. The MagicCap OS on these devices is an interesting take on how to design a GUI.
I got this a while ago and was very impressed by how it feels. The battery is in shockingly good condition. The OS is fun to use, though I suspect if I was using it on a day to day basis I would get over it and find it tedious.

an operating system that replicates your *actual* desk top that's hilariously awesome, hopefully VR takes off and brings that back full circle.

In this episode, AkBkuKu becomes Bob Ross.... You don't have to have Magic Jack. Your local phone company should be able to provide you with a VoIP device. My current company, Charter Communications, does this

That's a standard Sony lithium battery, you can still buy replacements for it probably. I'd recognize the design anywhere.

I do have a Pandigital Novel and no I don't use it regularly. That time period was the beginning of the smartphone boom and technology rapidly left the earlier devices behind. I've had four different tablets since then.

Ah, glad I'm not the only one! I was actually thinking of actually using it as a digital photo frame, but the screen is a little too low res to look good with modern images. This definitely would probably have been used more back when it was new!
