I always wanted to know more about Magic Cap. Stunning. What a shame it never gained traction.

So... Andy, how come at 03:40 you're left handed then right handed in close up? A little presentation magic..? ;-)

So advanced for 1994 the predecessor to IOS devices imagine if this had taken off how advanced would smartphones be right now

Magic Cap and General Magic was 5-7 years too early (or rather ahead of it's time).....the current robust infrastructure of the web and email was then a little too "young" for widespread, public adoption on pricey mobile devices. Also, the GUI was a little too gimmicky..... too many animations and too many options likely compromised processor performance, screen size and layout.... but the idea was on fire !! .....follow up versions of market-tested devices would have more fully validated the concept..... sigh.....
