Would you recommend this bike for someone who's 6 feet tall and 270 pounds? I'm just trying to spend more time outdoors and not ready for a bicycle that doesn't have battery power assist. Thanks.
I think im most impressed that you kept the factory seat...that thing was killing me. I ended up ordering a wider more cushioned one, world of difference. 👍
I have the same bike and I love it ! I've got over 1,600 km, over 1,000 miles in 5 weeks ! Smooth everything, it's farmland here .. wide open spaces. This bike goes everywhere ! Thumbs up !!
GReat video, I"m looking at getting an adjustable handlebar riser, like yours., for my Aventure 2. How long is the one that you have and did you run into any issues with the cables being too short?
Is that a torque or cadence sensor? The first Aventure? What is the maximum mileage you have traveled at once until the battery completely or almost drained to 0 at a certain assist level? I'm looking forward to buying the Aventure 2 to become my very first e-bike after hundreds of hours of extensive research into e-bikes of all types!
Thanks! I didn’t realize they sell them on Amazon. I got mine through Best Buy. Was a pretty smooth process, but I did need to have it dialed in at my local bike shop before doing any serious riding.
Sorry, you've had trouble getting in touch with them. I got in touch with someone on my first phone call. To be completely clear, I sent an email first that got an automated response. I waited a day to hear back because I sent the email the day before the Fourth of July. The next business day I just decided to call instead of wait for the email reply to come in. The person I talked to asked me to email them some basic information about my bike for warranty purposes, and I had the parts 2 days later. Again, sorry to hear you're having a hard time getting in touch with someone.
Aventon was very responsive to me. Sent an email, they were back with me the following day, addressed some slight shipping damage and shipped replacement parts the following day. Super nice folks to work with in my experience.
Just "WOW"! What a great video. I just added/moved my headlight on my Level 2. Took a little while to find the proper hanger to attach it to front fender. Replace the stem to an adjustable. Will keep me in a better posture. Thank you again. Ride On!
Thank you so much! Yes, these bikes are really such quality bikes it only takes a few of the right upgrades/add-ons to make it a perfect ride! What headlight did you end up with?
Just ordered a green adventure1 since they can be had for a really good deal now. Thanks for the rack/bike idea as well as the seat post recommendations. 🤙
@@VoltVlog Just picked up a Aventure 2 and like your video - have you upgraded your seat yet? Also any advice on how to not get flat tires, I see you got 2 prior to your video?
I’ve only been in one short lived rain storm, 10 minutes or so of heavy rain. It held up just fine. It’s pretty dry where I live, only get a few inches a year.
@VoltVlog thank-you for your response, I'm in the Midwest and I thought I read that you shouldn't get the bike wet because it could damage it . Took it out today for the first time . The bikes a beast :)
Used the same headlight. Got a headlight from Mokwheel. Used their bracket to attach headlight to fender. I would have just detached the headlight and used handlebars light but Aventon didn't design it to be removed. Will be taking it out to set everything in place.
Thanks for the review, I have an Aventure 2 with about 500 km's and I am getting a ton of noise from the crank arms/bottom bracket area and the drive train at the back. the gears seem to shift OK it's just noisy. I am going to take it back to the dealer and ask them to tune it up for me as I hae only had it 2 months. I would be interested in a video on adjusting your derailleur.
You're welcome! I'd for sure take it back in, sounds like maybe the bottom bracket could use a bit of grease maybe? Especially if it's a clack/popping sound. But, for sure have them button everything down. When I first got mine, I took it into my local bike shop and had them dial it in. And for sure, when I adjust the derailleur I'll point a camera at it and post it up!
Hi Richard I am getting a lot of front end noise in particular. I wonder if it’s the the headset area myself. I did grease the headset bearings but no luck. Let me know what your bike shop did. I
lol.....a lady tying out the AA was getting off the bike and her leg hit the key and the battery popped out and hit the ground. The battery was fine but the plastic "shield" was chipped. Easy replacement part but that was weird.
Oh. I’ve been doing it for years. I talk with my hands. People have preferences in communication for sure. Some people just don’t fit. Thanks for the comment.
